Wow I'm so excited for you!! (& a bit jealous haha ) eeeee no more loan and now A POTENTIAL HOME OF YOUR OWN! You luuuucky!! That's lovely of your dad
what a gem
Oh and happy birthday for last week!! x
Thanks Scuff! Don't get me wrong- I would definitely have to pay him back the deposit, and I also said I'd pay him the income he'd get if he kept it in the bond (£80 a month) but to get my own place would be brillo.
So that would be £80 to him a month for lending me the deposit, and then saving over the next 10 years or so to pay £30k back to him, but while interest rates are so low and house prices are low I think I'm going to try and get on the ladder asap. Dad seems keen too which is nice. Usually he thinks about something for so long until the opprotunity has passed by!
Just working out what all the outgoings a month would be now and it's do-able on my wage. Only snag is it's not regular and I'm scared haha. My friend has been talking about us getting a place together for a while so I know she would take the 2nd bedroom and that would be an extra help to the bills.
Arranging viewings and going to nip to the bank next week to see what they say re mortgage
(bet they tell me to !!!!!! off haha!) x
I'm definitely thinking about this too much.0
