  • Hi, hope you don't mind me subscribing. I love the rounding down to the nearest £5 idea. I also wanted to ask what the minimum payment only markers are, I only pay the minimum ATM on my card and they have recently reduced my credit limit (not a bad thing) but is this why?

    Hi all,

As predicted this week has been mental! I actually can't believe I've not had time to even think or eat! Next week is going to be a lot worse but after then I'm freeeee!

Ended up staying in London for 3 days this week (had to go down to the main office in prep for next week) and going to be working all today and all tomorrow too :(:(

But I suppose working for the next 7 days gets me my food and accommodation paid for and gives me NO time to go shopping or do anything leisurely ha.

But on the plus side I'm staying in HOTEL GB from Channel 4 haha. Need to check out in one hour - better hurry!

Hugandroll - if you only pay the minimum each month the cards can see it and might think that's all you can afford. So I round my account down and take a few extra pounds off which a lot of people do to avoid the minimum payment marker.

Off to do more work, hope everyone has an amazing weekend and speak next week - IF I'm still alive!!
  • Thanks lea, I've chosen my credit card as the first one to clear down so they have had plenty of overpayments this month :).

    Hello all :)

I can't belive how busy the last 2 weeks were. I ended up staying in the apartment we had hired to work from. It's only 10 mins drive from my house but working til 2am and starting again at 6-7 meant I had no choice. I feel like I have been hit by a train. And then it reversed over me. I had no time to do anything let alone spend any money so all should be good on that front!

Finished yesterday midday and went straight to the pre booked spa with my sister to have massages and a night away which was much needed and just got back to my own house.

Ended up using my card for a lot of work stuff last week as they delayed putting any money in my account so need to have a finance day tomorrow and then will do a proper update.

Been asked to work for a few days next week which is good as I only have to do a couple of hours each day but will get paid for full days because of the amout I worked recently so easy money and back from home!

But hope all is well with everyone else, going to have a wee read and will catch up properly tomorrow when I've sorted my life out!

Phew - had a few hours at work today and did a bit of shopping just to see what normal life has been like, and now back at home.

Got a evening out tomorrow so going to do my tan and nails, all already bought just need to slap it all on. Can't wait to not look like death anymore for a night!!!

I need to do a handover a bit earlier than expected tomorrow (need to have all my stuff ready for 2pm-eek) so will finish some work tonight and get up early tomorrow, and then come 2pm tomorrow - I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for the rest of the week :)

My plan will be just for tonight and tomorrow and will approach again on Weds with a new plan when I've got more time. So here goes:

    - Exfoliate and do tan
    - Finish handover docs for work
    - Paint nails
    - Cinema tomorrow (cheap because we have vouchers which makes it about £3 each-whoop)
    - Take wine to drink instead of buying (Got this as a freebie from work so no spent there)
    - Put money in bank tomorrow. Spent money on my card for work and got the cash back so will spend this if left in my purse!
-HAVE A NICE NIGHT TOMORROW AND CHILL OUT.

On another note I have had kind of confirmation that next job deffo want me! Just waiting on start date which should be next Wednesday after sisters wedding, or the Monday after that latest. It would be until next July which is crazy but good for regular wage paying loan and card off!

    Spending...
Nar I think I miscalculated somewhere, plus I had a few 'emergency' occasions. It'll be sorted though, if anything it's made me more determined!! :)

    Hello all!

Had a fab night last night, cinema was £3.45 -mega cheap! Paranormal Activity 4 however was a load of pap.

We treated ourselves to dinner and wine too, so that was an extra £25 but much needed.

I got the very unwelcome news yesterday that my phone bill for the last month is.............................................£469:eek::eek::eek:
Work will pay for it but I nearly fell off the sofa when he told me down the phone haha.

And THEN to add insult to injury I dropped it on the driveway and cracked all the screen - great! So thats £50 to pay in excess for it to be replaced. And perhaps I will ask Santa for a phone case for Christmas ;)

    Today's plan is as follows:
    1. Work for a few hours til this afternoon.
    2. Clean the house - mega needed
    3. Make Christmas list (I have loads of people in my family)
    4. Do invoice for Phone Bill
    5. Check when I will get paid
    6. Early night sleep. I still feel right ropey after last week and my dad thought it was normal to get up at 4.30am this morning and start pottering about downstairs. Not impressed!

STILL can't bring myself to update sig but will do asap. Good news is the money that came off my card has gone back into my current account and therefore I can take this off my loan while my CC is still 0% there was some good to this after all then!!
