It's definitely giving me the option to buy tickets at the railcard price for all the morning journies (£6.25) I could definitely argue that if any problems though because surely it wouldn't let me buy it if it wasn't valid. It also says morning peak time between Manc and Leeds finishes around 7am which I'm sure is suspicious! But if that's what it's saying I'm happy to go with that too

I'd megabus everywhere if I didn't get travel sick _pale_ asap is just better for everyone all round these days!! xx0 -
Today is a good day!! I sent back everything from my old job and also received a HUGE bouquet of flowers delivered from them to say thank you

I also got paid for those 2 random days I did for a different company a month ago, so an extra bit of cash! :j
And finally, even though I was only getting paid for 2 days this week (so I did a few hours each day for 3 days) because of the crazy hours I did last week I am getting a full weeks wage which is fab. I THINK I get paid on Tuesday and will get 4 weeks 2 days this month, and the extra 3 days next month.
On the other hand (but nothing to be sad about) my next job has been pushed back another week, so now not starting until Tuesday 6th Nov.
However my predicament is as follows... Because of this I have worked out I can house/dog sit until Friday 2nd (sis's honeymoon) and then may have time to go on a wee break to Berlin 2nd-5th! I know this is NOT MSE at all but I do think I need a break before next project starts.
Going to have a look for budget deals but is this a stupid idea and has anyone got any short break money saving tips??

Hello
Gosh so I realised I am rubbish at doing my motivation lists on here. If I am allowed to do a cheeky retrospective list then that's what I'll do (more to cross off!)
Had to take my dress for the wedding to the tailors to be taken up (maxi dress and I'm only short!
) and that cost £10 which is quite good considering they did it straight away.
I put my money in the bank, posted off a parcel I've needed to post for a few weeks and bought a new strapless bra for wedding :T
I had to do an emergency dash to Superdrug because my sister needed some eyelashes so got those too and also did a wee bit of Christmas browsing which I LOVE.
I spent about an hour in WHSmith woking out what to spend my 2 vouchers on: £5 off when you buy a book over £10, and £5 off when you spend £20. Looking at various bits to buy people and asking numerous staf members which vouchers I could use with which offers- only to realise after an hour that the vouchers are not valid until Monday! Sheesh!
But eyed up some stuff to add to my own list which my family are overjoyed at as usually I have no idea what I want and end up with enough body butter to last a good couple of years!
Also - if anyone else was thinking about Monopoly mugs idea I saw them in Wilko's today too but are £2.25, so still cheaper in Asda at £1.50 :T
My list or tonight and tomorrow is:
1. Do list of stuff to take to the wedding. I'm staying the night beore and the night of the wedding and driving back straight to a date-eek so lots to think about ha.
2. Do tan tonight
3. Book hair appointment for next week
4. Perhaps clean the inside of the car and check water etc in prep for journey tomorrow? Not decided.
But right now I am fairly nackered and I'm going to have a quick nap

Been reading your diary - good luck

Ooh also - looks like city break is off as friend can't really afford it so close to Christmas, which is good money saving wise!
On the flip side - I booked a consultation with a cosmetic dentist today to check about getting invisible braces. It's something I've wanted to get for a while but couldn't really jusify it while I still had my car loan. It'll be expensive but I I've been trying to sort my teeth out for years so really want it done now. To get it done on the NHS at my normal dentist means I need to have train tracks for 2 years and then a jaw operation!
When I was enquiring, I saw the dentist and he is the most ridiculously handsome man I've ever seen. And the dental assistant was also made up to the nines and wearing wedge heels. HEELS! It kind of makes me think they are pretend dentists but we'll see! The consultation is free and they said they will be doing offers on the treatment I want (Invisalign) which would be good.

Hooray for extra pay! Will you be paying it off something or using it for Christmas savings? Gosh it's been so long since I updated- been a busy few days!
Well I didn't end up going to Berlin which I suppose is for the best pennies wise haha! If I was brave enough to go on my own I deffo would have but being the wuss I am I just ouldn't do it.
Was away the weekend and the beginning of the week for the wedding, spent Wednesday sleeping
as I was tired and yesterday and today I've been dog sitting a poorly dog and 'chillaxing' as the kids say...
Not really been doing much but on the plus side that means not much spent. I got some stuf for the house I'm looking after i.e. food bits etc so bit of a spend there, and also got a few Christmas pressies so also spent a bit there but not much yet.
I did the list of pressies I need to buy and the list was on TWO A4 pages  My family is massive and usually I'm buying loads of pressies for months beforehand but I'm actually going to put my foot down this time and make a rule- Couples get one present between them and not one each! Also kiddies get max £20 (neices and nephews) and £10 (others).
All of it will go on the credit card so I get my points and then will get paid off after loan is paid off.
In other news I've still not been paid for last job! Was told it would be today but nothing cleared yet so fingers crossed for Monday, otherwise I'll be opening a can of whoop*ss :rotfl:
Hugandroll - extra pay won't be until end of Nov so this will prob get my last pressies. Because I get charged for overpaing the loan I don't to take small amounts off regularly, I'd rather take off big lumps on payday. I like seeing the amount go down too and is sadly something to look forward to!
Was thinking and if I'm right then I think I can have loan paid of by December or January at the latest :T When I get paid I can pay £2k off next week, then only £1.5k to pay which I can split between Nov and Dec payday
I would usually be able to do that in one payday BUT as I don't know pay dates or new job I can't bank on that. And also with 2 weeks off thats half my usual wage 'chillaxed' away... 0 -
EPIC POST!!!!! oops sorry0

I think it's so wrong banks charge for making payments. Is there nothing they don't charge for?K&Co (0%) [STRIKE]£58.40[/STRIKE] £0; Nat West O/D (18%) [STRIKE] £950 [/STRIKE] £937.26 Barclaycard (21.9%) [STRIKE]£1,039.01[/STRIKE] £799.06; Barclayloan [STRIKE]£4,756[/STRIKE] £4,637; mum (0%) [STRIKE]£35,000[/STRIKE] £35,000 0% Total Debt [STRIKE]£41,803.41[/STRIKE] £41,373.32 :eek:0
