Did you actually think that film had a chance of being GOOD?! :rotfl:

    Yay for list!

I gave it the benefit of the doubt, but seriously it's cr*p. God loves a trier.

Darn it - forgot I said I'd go and help my friend put up some blinds tonight. Oh the glamour. So Christmas list is going on tomorrows list along with the early night :)

Did you hear about the Nottingham cinema that played Paranormal Activity instead of Madagascar?!? Bet the kids are scarred for life!!

Just a quick pop in to say hooray! I've just ordered my Valued Opinions vouchers so £40 of Boots vouchers to get some Christmas bits with :) usually this would be spent on perfume for myself but because I sdo have enough to last me easily until NEXT Christmas I don't feel too hard done by with this sacrifice...

STILL finishing off some work but considering I didn't do a lot yesterday I'm happy to be doing it.

Off out to cinema with friend later and going to my cousins at 3pm so busy day but life is getting back on track slowly! Will go to bank and post office later too.

Have done my expenses claim form for my horrendous phone bill, just need to send that through and that's another tick off the list :)
  • Omg no! Those poor children. Btw, new Madagascar film is amazing.

I can't wait to see it. Perfect excuse to take my neices and nephews to the cinema!

    Little update on my list!

Work - done and finished! Now just waiting on a start date for new job. It's going to be in Leeds (I'm in manchester) and I'm trying to weigh up pros and cons of driving each day vs train each day vs renting a room Monday to Friday!
I might get a railcard and then an anytime day return ticket is £12.85. And hoping that if they don't stamp my ticket on the way back that I can use it another day... (I would feel bad if rail prices weren't so shocking).

Tidy house - part done :o I've not been in much since I finished work and can't bring myself to clean. Just....too.....difficult....

Invoice for phone bill - done and sent. Just need them to tell me when it'll be paid so I can make sure I actualy have £469 in the bank at the time!!

Christmas list - going to do it now! Always makes me happy thinking of pressie ideas. Just as a side note - I was in ASDA earlier and wandered down the kitchen aisle and they had Monopoly mugs for £2.50. One was 'Go to Jail' one and another was 'Pass go and collect $200'. I think I might get one each for my nephews and it'll be a little wrap up for Christmas that they can have fun with too - saying the loser is the person that gets the jail cup etc. They are getting skinny jeans for Christmas as main pressie :0

So that's me for this evening. BIG weekend coming up... It's my sisters wedding on Monday and I'm house sitting tomorrow when she's left, and driving up Sunday. Need to do so much in that time. Better actually try my dress on at some point too..!

I'd definitely definitely definitely recommend the train over driving. Obviously it depends what time you need to drive over but m62 twice a day?? Nightmare. Plus it's 50 limit a lot of the way too. Plus petrol would cost more than £12, it's like a 90 mile round journey!! My boyfriend is working in Manchester for a month in a few weeks (we're near Leeds!), and after careful consideration he's decided getting the train is the easiest cheapest and less frustrating option. Plus think of all the extra wear on your car!! Have you looked into season tickets??xx

That's the way I think I'm going to go - plus think of the extra time while on the train, for nap/make-up. Driving would deff stress me out on the way there.

I think a season ticket is £262 per month but couldn't quite work out if it had restrictions on route or times. Some of them said only valid on routes via Hebden Bridge :undecided

I'm *just* eligible for a young persons railcard so if I get that for £28 then the £12.85 a day applies to peak journies too. I also go to London a few times a year so would be useul for that too. Don't think you can use a rail card when buying a season ticket which is annoying!

I'll ask OH as I know he's doing the season ticket malark, going via Huddersfield (which I'm sure is the fast train?) Is railcard valid before 9:30? I'm sure when I had one I couldn't use it before then?? (Could be wrong :)) Would save you tons going to London though so worth it just for that - I'm too tight to get the train down, we just megabus it :rotfl:
