ps really not sure when to thank and when not to now
nothing sinister in it, I don't read all the posts as I tire very easily so try to thank those that make me laugh, or are helpful or have a message for me. I never deliberately ignore others (wouldn't be that petty) ((((Hugs)))) to all Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£1200 -
Just popped over to the discount board and found codes for Littlewoods Direct which means the trampoline I wanted which is in the sale anyway is going to cost me just over £100 and 4.5% back via Quidco, pleased I didn't buy the £120 in B&Q yesterday now!
Right DP seems to have snook back to bed, best go wake him! Then think I'll do the bolognese sauce ready for tea need to decide what to make with it, got lasagne pasta, some canneloni pasta, or just plain pasta. Will probably come down to what I can be bothered to do :rotfl: canneloni is a right faff on.One day I might be more organised...........

Hello all.
We've got gorgeous Bank Holiday weather here - which makes it so much easier and nicer to get jobs done around the home! :j
All the bed linen is out on the line - just in the process of changing all the beds but the computer in the spare room distracted me....:o
Son is outside playing happily on his bike with his Dad and I'm just going to have a quick hoover round. OH supposed to be mowing the very overgrown lawn today but no sign of that happening just yet!
Hope everybody has a lovely Easter weekend and gets lots of chocs!0 -

Happy Easter to all, a quiet one for me I suspect as am having that tooth taken out tomorrow instead of the root canal (too painful!) can you liquidise Easter Eggs? No? Hot choc and a straw for me then! ...
No liquidise, exactly ... but you could grind them up and then add it to hot milk for a *real* hot chocolate

Oooh sympathies on the tooth out front
but, the good news is, you only have to stay off alcohol for 24hrs afterwards - there was *nothing* on the advice sheet about staying off chocolate and let's not forget ... chocolate's suckability!! Pop it on your tongue and just let it melt down naturally
Nels - I was only going to make the ONE Simnel Cake ... .... we'll just have to rain check on yours
dannahaz - re your dilema ... spend an hour spring cleaning, then have a nice cleansing soak and then you can go and enjoy Rory B tonight knowing you've *earned* it

Right, I'm all chilled out nicely myself now, so I can get on with my muffin and meatloaf experiements and sort out that S.Cake. The windows are all open airing out the house and it's just soooooooo lovely to have fresh Spring air breezing through - best air freshner ever

Hi everyone
Just had a quick run through what you are up to.
Smokey - you must be worried sick, please (like the others say) have a word with your GP. This could impact on your health too.
Moggins - I think tomorrow will be difficult for you although it is what you want. Will be thinking of you and think of it as a brand new chapter opening - a good one!
Blairweech - you seem now to be in the same situation. Just look at what Moggins has achieved over the last few weeks and you will make it too.
Happy birthday to Skyblue and Ivan and anyone else who has a birthday today.
DLB - hope things still progressing with your Mum and thanks for lovely comment you made yesterday.
Well today so far has been taken up with cleaning the bathroom and collecting my rings! They are so sparkly clean I feel they are like new. I am so glad I can now get my wedding ring on and I feel I am now back to being Mrs Granny Broon!
Off out now to tackle my rather overgrown garden. DH improving now on antibiotics but why does it take men longer to recover than women??
Will catch up with everything again later on I hope.
Love and hugs to all

Hello Everyone,
Beautiful day here in Essex.
I went to a lovely mass at church last night, hot crossed buns today (bought not made:o ).
Sitting on my kitchen sofa, Radio 2 playing quietly with the french doors open, sunshine flooding in warming the tiles on the floor. The cat is curled up beside me. Little ones are doing jigsaws on the floor. Does life get any better than this? I feel very blessed.
Happy birthday to Skyblue and Ivan
Happy Easter to everyone. No eggs until Sunday to fellow chocaholics!

Just having my lunch and a brew.
So far have pulled everything out of the kitchen, cleaned the ceiling/walls, sorted out the pinboard, cleaned the clock, the lights and taken the blind down...to be cleaned.
Lunch is leftover cheesy leek, broccoli and bacon bake. It's yummy. OH has just left to go to Tanton this weekend, so I am on my own (I know it sounds awful but this really messes up my menu plan!!!). May have a friend coming round tonight (argh!!) or I may be going out on the town with him, we'll see what he says.
Hope you're having good and productive days
Edit: Right, friend has just rung, there is a barbeque going on so have been invited to that. Have to grab a shower now
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Happy Easter to everyone! Smokeybabe - I LOVED the cup and saucer - felt myself drowning in it; thank you so much for posting it for us! Please don't feel bad for letting of steam. It certainly is not selfish - you can't just carry on as if nothing is happening and you're going through such a lot. A saint would have to let of steam and, anyway, it'll make you feel better. You can let off steam with us and we won't mind at all - honest! I hope things start to get more hopeful for you.
SkyBlue and IvanOpinion - Happy Birthday! Enjoy - and Easter too! And SkyBlue - I really hope you don't have much longer to wait to get the alien removed once and for all. I don't know how you stand it.
CCStar - good luck with the sale!
Squishy - I hope your symptoms don't develop - who wants a cold at Easter?
Haribo Junkie - I actually think most parents hate going to children's parties, TBH. I always used to find the other mums clicky! At least they only usually last a couple of hours!
Moggins - will be thinking of you. Do what Ivan suggests and treat yourself to some flowers. Hope all goes well for you.
Happy Easter to everyone else. My visitors arrive within the hour so may not get a chance to post later!:easter: :EasterBun :easter_ba :easter_os :icotbaske :grouphug: :wave:KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

:hello: Afternoon all

:bdaycake: Happy birthday Skyblue and Ivan :bdaycake:
I thought I’d fallen into DT for a moment! Belated welcome to the Daily to Ivan and all other newbies this week.
(((smokey))) (((Blairweech))) (((Kyle))) (((congrats Moggins, & stay cool tomorrow)))
to everyone who has already done loads of housework (I’m just jealous)
:rotfl:
I’ve seen more of the inside of A&E than I’d like this week. It’s strange but even though I knew what the problem was and exactly what was to happen to put it right I still felt a bit scared and very miserable just being there, so especial hugs from me to anyone not feeling too good or has loved ones who are suffering. For my part, the treatment is kicking in and I’m feeling much better today.
Right, down to the serious business….
All 5 coot babes are going strong and misbehaving accordingly. An example or two…
Mrs & Mr Coot dive to the bottom of the canal to find morsels of food for the chicks. Mrs Coot had found something, surfaced, swam to the nest, climbed in and fed it to a chick, chick spat it out; Mrs coot picked it up and fed the chick again, chick spat it out again… you getting the picture? After 4 repeats of this Mrs C gives the chick a darned good peck on the back of the neck – chick finally swallows morsel. :rotfl:
At dusk the other evening all 5 chicks were in the nest wriggling about like crazy under Mrs C. She got so fed up she stood up in the nest and smacked the lot of them with one fast down beat of her wings, and I’d swear she shrieked “settle down!” as she did it. I do not envy her having that little lot wriggling away underneath her all night!
Ok, I’ve dwarf iris roots soaking that need to go in their pots, a kitchen like a bomb site and my normally tidy bedroom is an absolute tip! Time I got on with it.
but first... :EasterBun :wave:My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Hello again:D
4th washload in the WM and all the rest has been dried on the washing line. Theres going to be about 4 hrs of ironing this week:eek:    ....luckily Im not doing it;) :rotfl: Cleaner is still going well and whilst we were away she steamed out all the kitchen cupboards and the cooker. I cant believe she has done 6 weeks now with no real complaints:o
MIL/FIL have popped in this morning to see us, so gave their pressies. Got MIL some cornish pottery (teapot)..bought from Bootsale at £1:D and FIL some clotted cream fudge from the 99p store in the town:p
DD has tidied her room and put all holiday stuff away and OH has cleared out the car and put all stuff from hols away. I havent been too well these past 2 days...but cant complain as theres always some worse than you.
Im just munching through my lovely lunch. White bread sandwich with cheddar, lettuce, spring onion, beetroot, grated carrot, salt/pepper and salad cream and a packet of Hulahoops.....yummy:beer:
Popped to Lidl with OH this morning and left DD here...we are so knackered but needed some essentials. Lidls was open at 8am and was lovely and quiet...it can be so difficult in there with the wheelchair but managed perfectly today;) ....got loads of fresh organic fruit/veg and some FR eggs(79p for 6)...loads more fridge stuff, milk, bread, fruit juice etc...OH got some leads that he deperately needed
...whatever!!... and spent £27:D The salad is lovely and cant believe how cheap the products are in there.
Anyway, Im off to watch some TV and chill as my body needs rest.
Queenie-Enjoy your few days.
Hugs to you all.
