Good Morning All
We've had an early start today, took hubby to the station only to find trains weren't running to schedule, yes I know it's Good Friday & I did phone to try to confirm train times but couldn't get hold of a human, got to the local station in plenty of time to find a hand written note selotaped to the door (don't you just love the professionalism) saying trains were running to the Saturday timetable. We jumped back in the car & drove into Reading town centre, the drop off point was closed! So hubby leapt from the car & I drove home to have a leisurely breakfast (breakfast of champions) I stopped at our local Tesco & got 4 pork chops, 4 chicken breasts & a bag of grapes all reduced & 6 large Easter eggs for £1 each, one for each of my kids & grandkids.
We're looking after my grandson tomorrow, so will take him to the lock & feed the ducks & if the weather is still nice he can play in the garden.
Hugs to all
Hester

Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me
Although, to be honest I just am not in the mood to celebrate it this year, but rest of the family and some friends have organised a night out so I guess I will have to put on the glad rags
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Morning All
(((Hugs))) to all that need them especially Smoky Babe and Blairweech.
I am very pleased to report that DD slept from 8pm to 8am last night IN HER OWN BED (Sorry Kyle). Turns out that she is scared of a teddy bear that was in her cot. Teddy removed after a hysterical bout of crying and hey presto child asleep within 10 mins.
Plans for today are to get back on the OS track and also phone Npower as we are £150 in credit with the electric bill. Does anybody know if they are open today? l'm going to have a go at yogurt in a minute had one go with my easiyo a couple of weeks ago and it was a disaster so hopefully this will be better.
Apart from all the above its going to be a quiet day hopefully
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Just the usual taking the oldies shopping for me, DD is going round a friends house to play. I'm really annoyed with myself as I didn't put the bin out last night thinking that as it was Good Friday there wouldn't be a collection, typical they arrived as usual too late for me to get the bin out
The pain goes tomorrow and although it's a relief to be honest I also feel a little sad. I'm glad I will not be here when he is moving his stuff out but will be very busy helping out at my friends birthday party.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

well today its another beautiful sunny day. got loads of washing done yesterday and it dried so quickly with the sun and the stiff breeze. got all the beds changed and now I am looking round thinking what else could I do...wondering about curtains ( I say wondering because I want new ones not clean ones
) I think they are about 10 years old and I am so sick looking at them. once I have finished all this course work I plan to do the house up...needs loads done. we put in new kitchen and bathroom a few years ago and now everthing is looking a bit "tired". nothing a quick lick of paint wont cure...
today...more essay, more washing (I am hiding the ironing pile behind the sofa), dentist later and a bit of shopping on the way home from there.
have a good friday!

Hugs to Smokey, Kyle, Blairweech .
Congratulations on the house CCStar
Happy Birthday Skyblue and Ivan
Another round of small children and cooking today. (no I'm not cooking the kids. Not yet anyway)they are having more friends for lunch and I promised some egg painting:rolleyes: I think I was under the influence of something at the time but they forget nothing.
Have made sun dried tomato bread so far and need to do some batch cooking later. Did a massive shop yesterday and had to rearrange the kitchen to accomodate it:o
Then off to a 6 yr olds birthday party at 4pm. Am I the only one who hates going to these? Now they're in Primary ! I don't know all the mums and I hate making small talk about 5/6 year olds. I'm trying to bribe OH to take them. I have vays of making him obey.;)
Have a great day all.
Haribo x
PS. Pen Pen is that ironing offer still open or did I blow it with the kitchen floor comments?:p0 -

Crikey Ivan, I know you say your not in the mood, but couldn't you come up with something a little trendier than Glad's rags??? Hopefully, family and friends will lift your enthusiasm and you'll have a good night out (just don't count the candles on the cake!!!!!!)
moggins ((hugs)) Naturally it will be bittersweet and even though you won't be there, you will still need to walk back in and will notice the voids - grab a bunch of flowers to perk the place up a bit and some scented candles to add a different scent to the house for when you walk back in .... and ... don't expect too much of yourself. Relief it may be, but it's still the closing page of a long chapter in your life history ((hugs))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
