What I want to know though, is are they right about the actual claim being legit? Mine was for mortgage fees that the broker added when they suggested a mortgage for me 7 years ago. Something along the lines of the suggested mortgage netted them a higher fee and therefore was mis-sold. Sounds dodgy but thought I'd ask you lot just in case
Speak directly to your mortgage company about this. You will find them surprising helpful.
If you do use a legitimate PPI claims company, they will in no way ask for any fee up front. Only a percentage of what you receive. But you really don't need to use one at all0 -
Well I did a bit of reading and haven't found anything to suggest it's claimable - you agree to the charges at point of use, I know they mentioned the charges to me and explained everything so it's not like they were hiding it, and I can't see a cheaper option being reason for claiming mis-selling.
Also, with mine, it was a Northern Rock together loan, I don't think I'd have been able to get any other type of mortgage at the time! Was just curious really.
Interesting point; CCS when they phoned asked me to confirm where I lived - they gave me the number of the house I'm in (where the mortgage is) but the road of my mums house where I lived before! Post code matched neither of them but was closer to mums than mine. so no idea how they got the info! Maybe I should go to that house in mums road and ask if they got a letter for me
Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0 -
Hi. Have you been able to recover any of your money with CCS? I too have fallen foul to them and am not sure how to go about getting my money back. Any advice would be welcome.lostockboy wrote: »Read my previous thread about what I did to get my money back off them. Contact them by phone, e-mail and letter just to be sure and also contact your credit card about doing a "charge back", anyway, read my thread, it'll give you hope

I found out from Credit Clear Services that CCS Advice have gone into administration. However, a letter I received from CCS in October explained that they had joined forces with Credit Clear Services who were there audit team. However, their helpline no. 0800 82 02 160 seems to switch to an automated message which advises you to leave a message or email for an update.lynda_normington wrote: »Also had a phone call of somebody last week telling me ccsreview had gone into administration and I will get my money back, really think they can mess with us, how can they all sleep at night, they should all be locked up, and hope they are reading this.0 -

Credit card company informed, and they have till the 4th of December to reply, will let you know what happens, maybe we all need to go to the company, demand all money back:(.0 -

I have spoken to ccs in Dorset and have said they are nothing to do with ccs in Swansea "yes right" ha. I opened a dispute with credit card company, but they don't seem to be doing much. Did anyone else done all correspondence via Email including cancellation? Today I have spoken to citizens advice, they have said its breach of contract which we already know, and so do they. I also had a phone call a couple of weeks back saying they were from the audit team and ccs had gone into administration, and you will receive a refund. Nothing so far, and don't expect their will be, but we must keep fighting, they have taken to much money off innocent people, why should they be able to get away with steeling our hard earned money. Scum nothing but scum need teaching a lesson, all of them.0
