  • I've just spent 40 minutes on the phone with CCS Advice and they say that I am entitled to a minimum of £12,960 because my mortgage was mis-sold.l They wanted to put the fee £495 plus 10% - a total amount of £2,149 on my credit card. This amount can then be paid off after I receive the money which will take up to 90 days. I'm assuming that this is a scam!!!!

Thank you so much Andy, alarms bells were ringing but just thought I'd take time to do the research.

I just got the CCS cold call on my TPS registered number. It is scam. Before I had a chance to say I was an IFA and cannot be missold, I was told my mortgage was missold and I can claim money back.

All the reasons they gave were bogus and the script is generic as if they knew my information they would know not to call an IFA to tell them the mortgage I set up myself is missold. It is also preregulation.

So, even if I wanted to pay them to put in a complaint about myself, I could write back to them saying I am rejecting my own complaint as its pre-regulation.

It is advance fee fraud. Nothing less than that.

It would be utterly hilarious to do just that. If they were no-win-no-fee it would do nothing except waste their time.

    "Dear dunstonh,

I am afraid your complaint to me is invalid because I am you and I reject what I/you say in its entirety.

    Yours sincerely,
    dunstonh"

  • My parents received a phone call from these guys this morning, they must be very convincing... they called them back to ask some questions. How are they still operating after all this time, the guy running the operation should be locked up.

They even have a new website which was registered 2 months ago, despite claims over the phone they had been operating for 5 years. I've made a complaint with the FSA, not that it'll do much!

These companies are not regulated by the FCA. They have in more recent times become regulated by the ministry of justice. However, it is not staffed to a sufficient level or have any where near the resources of the FCA and there is nothing like the bite that the FCA has. It is very light touch.

I've just had a call from these charlatans calling themselves CCS review. They asked for my ex wife even though we have been divorced for 3 years. When I asked where they bought their information, the supervisor said they couldn't give that out over the phone but supplied me with with an email address to write in and request it. He also said my name would be taken off their mailing list - we'll wait and see on that one!!
  • last Friday CCS Review contacted me and got me to sign up for a claim on my miss sold mortgage before i seen this forum. i parted with £3,306 on a credit card. i have since called them on Monday to cancel as part of the 14 days cooling of period and they have said they will send me a refund by post as they did not have a means to refund directly to my credit card. is there anything else which i can do to ensure, prior to the end of the cooling of period i receive a full refund. i have already informed my credit card company that i may have been a victim and they have for the time being blocked the credit cards so as no further money can be taken. how do i go about reclaiming if indeed as i expect the refund does not arrive by post.
