The owner of CCS lives in a rather big mansion in Swansea...Just google his name and the CCS phone number....
That wasn't the only BBC article on this operation. And hundreds if not thousands of unhappy customers who never got a refund...do your research though....you shouldn't base your decision on what I say....check out the information available for yourselfI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job

This company is an absolute joke. I know a lot of people who have actually worked for them. It's a high pressurised sales environment where you are employed to cold call looking for business and charging 1000s of pounds for their "service". They actually switched company names not long back after making an awful lot of money by promising to wipe people's debts. I'm talking millions! The directors drive around in their expensive cars and designer suits when they are nothing but disgusting conmen! Crooks! They belong in jail! And I can also assure you that their names won't even be known to the MOJ who they are "regulated" with. What I don't understand is how people still manage to get away with doing this, surely there is something that can be done to stop this once and for all! Watchdog? X-ray? These crooks need to be stopped! They are robbing people every single day and living luxury lifestyles from it! And my advice for anybody who's thinking of dealing with this company is STAY AWAY! As soon as they have made enough money through "mis sold mortgages" they will shut down, and start again! Like all dodgy call centres! Don't listen to anything they have to say or let them talk u into handing your card details - as this is what they are trained to do. And they have targets to hit so they will say anything to get them from you! Consortium reclaim?! CCS?! Same thing! What's next!0

I have just been called by CCS Advice in Swansea stating that they believe I have been mis-sold my mortgage and am owed £23,000 in compensation. All I need to do to get this is pay £3377 up front on my credit card for them to start the process. Even after telling them that I was the Financial Adviser that set up the mortgage, they were adamant that I had been mis-sold!! Do not under any circumstances give any details to this company!!!! There are many companies who are no longer trading who ask for money up front with a promise of greater riches to come - if it sounds too good to be true, chances are it probably is!!0

We had a call from a company called CCS Advice earlier this afternoon (21/02/13). They said that we have been mis-sold mortgage ppi years ago and if we paid £495 + 10% of the total claim (likely to be no less than £21k) + VAT they will graciously perform a 'forensic' search for us - no paperwork necessary. Ok, yes sounds to good to be true, but having used 'The Finance Bureau of Complaints' recently to recover PPI on a bank loan, successfully, professionally and without hitch, thought this could be our lucky day! He wanted us to pay £3.5k in advance 'now' today on our credit card - which would be refunded in full if after all their efforts were fruitless. ALARM BELLS!!!! Pay in advance! SURE! Btw our surname is NOT 'Mug'!! At this point we agreed he should call us back tomorrow morning at 10am, he was mightily miffed at this but he had no choice coz the school run beckoned! We went straight to MSE and look what we found - what would we ever do without Martin Lewis??? Thank you all of you for your comments alerting us. The thing is now - after all of these alerts, why is this t*** still trading?? Why hasn't something been done yet? Oh - really looking forward to tomorrow's phone call back - we of course won't remember today's unsolicited call!!!0

Just wanted to say thank you i have just received a phone call from them and it sounded very convincing about getting £6000 back of my old mortgage. Thought i would check the name on this website and found this link and without it may well have been tempted to throw £500 at it. Thank the lord for money saving expert0

Well done. Lucky escape on your part. Or common sense research. There is virtually no mis-sale issues regarding mortgages currently. The one area of concern at the FOS is where sub prime mortgages were sold where prime mortgages could have been used instead. The rest of what these companies tell you as being wrong, such as broker fees, or adding fees to mortgages or not even having the mortgage in the first place is complete BS.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Oh, I'm so glad this site exists and is so readily available!! Cheers MSE - Just had this ccs advice phone me with same stories as described above, regulated by MOD, mis-sold mortgage, pay up front on credit card, will refund complete money paid if not successful - They wanted £3,100 up front! Why does this country have government bodies set up who endorse these bogus scammers - this is the real scandal! The "senior advisor I spoke to tried convincing me by asking me to click on the email links they'd sent me which took me to the MOD site - all designed to dupe people and set the bait - I told "Scott" I'd just clicked on Martin Lewis site and said the comments here seemed to conflict with what he was saying - Scott then made his quick goodbye's!!0

OMG thank the lord for this site!! They called my husband at the weekend and because I deal with all the financial stuff he got them to ring me back yesterday! I got put throughthe 'senior adviser' Luke who was very pushy and wanted me to pay £1200 up front, putting £600 on each of 2 credit cards. At this point I made my excuses and said I had to do some research and for them to call me back today. I found some stuff about the company going into administration and setting up again in a different name and thought I'd stay well clear. The original (nice) guy called me back again and I explained what I had read and that I wasn't prepared to lose this amount of money in hopes of claiming the £26000 they said I could! He said he had worked there 7 years and the company has never changed names, even said he had referred his own mum to the reclaim of mortgage overpayments and she had won £7k back! I felt the need to research further so agreed for him to call me back again tomorrow, thanks to this forum I have made my mind up!!!0

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who have posted warnings about this compay!! I've just had a call from them "advising" me that I am entitled to nearly £10,000 refund due to a missold mortgage. I too spoke to someone initialy who then put me on to a senior advisor who did a really good job convincing me that this company is genuine. But, unfortunately for her I've been caught out before by a company called Tucan Claims and stupidly parted with £350 to reclaim PPI (which I did get refunded eventually!!). I told her I'd read through her email and that I'd get back to her tomorrow - of course came straight on the computer to look on MSE.
Do they really think I'd fall for the same scam twice? Once bitten, twice shy!! I've always been very gullible, well not anymore!!0
