I had a call from these cowboys this morning, wasted about 20 mins talking to them, until the fees started to be mentioned. At this point alarm bells started ringing in my head and I said to the 'senior advisor' I had been transferred to "this is sounding more and more like a scam, I want no further part of this thank you" and put the phone down.

They tried ringing straight back put I just cut them straight off again.

Apart from the fact that I was already questioning their assertion that the credit card balances would be set aside, with no detrimental affect on my credit rating, I also had nagging doubts about the morality of accepting such a service anyway. If an individual has knowingly accrued debts on a credit card, what justification can there be for writing it off??

Ludicrous - half an hour of my life I won't get back.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

It is called advance fee fraud. They entice you with some hypothetical figure they are in no position to calculate but make sure it is big enough to entice to your greed. So, you dont mind paying £595 up front. Years down the road when you realise you have nothing, the company has gone leaving you out of pocket.

I am presently fighting with this company to get back fees charged in advanced for services still not provided. Cancellation fees are astronomical and their claims are untrue. I have given all my information and correspondence to SWANSEA TRADING STANDARDS OFFICE who heard of my concerns from trading standards central complaints department. This company was trading before went into liquidation and reformed into this new company since July. I have been registered with them for months and not had a penny returned even though they claim my case is a strong one. All they do is kick the claim further down the line and request more money for the next stage. They are almost certainly operating an advance fee scam as mentioned by a previous entry. How I get my money back I do not know I am currently in their complaints procedure which they should have replied to me within 28 days and guess what nothing have I heard and no
justification for the cancellation fees supplied to me to date.

Its a scam. By the time you find out it is and ask for your money back, the company will be gone and your £594 with it. That is why they tell you to put it on the credit card.

There is no widespread mis-sold mortgage problems. Most of the reasons given by these dodgy companies are completely false.
