And here's me thinking this is a public forum where anybody can post...
Yes but the idea is that when you post you are constructive
So this posts topic is in relation to an email from a debt collection firm
You get the point? For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
We want to test the new 'independant' (and by independant, I mean controlled and influenced by the BPA) appeals process.
I'm sure they will look to gather tickets only where the landowner sufferes no material loss whatsoever. So no harm done, financially or legally.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Okay, some constructive advice for op.....
Don't bother replying.
Stop being a menace and respect the rules the land owner has agreed for these companies to implement where reasonable.
Now lets gets some perspective, this isn't a case of somebody accidentally parking with a wheel touching a white line or displaying a ticket upside down and now being subjected to unfair tactics..... this is somebody deliberately showing a lack of respect and baiting them.
I'm surprised people condone this.
Here I was starting to think this board did actually have some moral fiber...0 -

That's not a great argument.
In the morning i'm going to sit in Starbucks and eat my home made sandwich and drink my OJ from Tesco, despite the seating being for customers only..... but i'll choose a quiet time when their are plenty of seats available.... so that's alright then, isn't it?
Yet op goes in to a car park, defies their rules and everything hunky dory? Ye, sure.0 -
Lack of respect? For a private parking company? I have more respect for cockroaches.
As for condoning chambta's behaviour, I don't: I applaud it. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.Je suis Charlie.0 -

i have yet to find a reasonable parking company
As you dont know much about the parking industry and what people are trying to achieve on behalf of other people then your opinion is ill informed
I myself will be going out on the 1st of October to get as many different tickets from different operators in order to get the ball rolling in regards to POPLA
I am not doing this for my own, in fact i could get taken to the county court and sued
Does this worry me , of course it doesnt, because i see it is as fair game and a challange thats worth in order to help other less informed peopleFor everthing else there's mastercard.

Daft comparison, misses the point by miles.
If Starbucks invited some third-party company to come into their branches and issue people with £100 invoices for putting their chair-leg on a crack in the tiles or staying more than 20 minutes then I would applaud anyone who defied such nonsense.Je suis Charlie.0 -

For the land owners.
So you're justifying abusing land provided by the land owner because you don't like the management company? Erm.. okay..
Abuse and have fun all you will, lets not try justify it though with arguments like 'we don't like their choice of management companies'. I don't like the way Tesco undercut smaller shops, this wouldn't justify stealing from them.0 -

Would Starbucks issue you with a £100 fine if you did? Or politely ask you to leave?
I thnk you'll find YOURS is not the great argument here.Je Suis Cecil.0
