I am thinking of getting my soon to be 6yo dd a NDS lite or DSi or 3DS. Do you think she is too young? also she once got hold of mine and dropped it and the hinge snapped, is there any way of reinforcing the hinges so this does not happen again? like a case or something?
thanks xxx
I'd say they're excellent for developing hand/eye co-ordination and as said before, lots of games are educational.
The only thing I'd advise is not to get the 3DS. They are terrible for straining the eyes, especially a child's. I'd also suggest you try to get second hand as they're quite expensive.
That way, if she doesn't bother with it, you haven't wasted too much money!0 -
to be fair, helenas tax affairs are of no concern to anyone apart from himself...so can we drop that one please:D
So where WOULD it become concern to someone else if someone was evading tax? Are you saying there are no circumstances that you would report a tax evader? I'd suggest thats indicative of the 'Im all right jack' mentality that spoils so much in the country today. Thanks for that. I have tried to read as many posts as I can but must have missed something because I thought the kleenex was Waitrose and didnt need a trigger. Still, its all hit and miss I guess.
Correct - Kleenex is separate - they don't alter the fact you had the wrong number of items for the cereals all to glitchjubarnes26 wrote: »What is the point of generating a high APG when you are not going to get it back? You are essentially just paying full price for those items.
If you then buy stuff that is more expensive in Waitrose you are just wasting money, may as well buy it in asda if it is on offer - on a seperate shop.
The only stuff I will buy with my glitches is stuff that is the same price as waitrose or N/A.
PS I know it wasnt you that first suggested it, just replying in general.
Yes I don't get this but each to their own. Surely best to reduce the number of glitch items so you get and APG as near to £15 as poss rather than buying them thinking you are saving then finding ways to make up for the £ you have wasted by having too big an APG?If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused0 -
Does anyone here own a food slicer? I've been thinking about getting one for a while, with the idea that I could boil my own hams etc then slice for sandwiches, getting more economical slices than I get with an ordinary knife. They seem to be available from about £35, does anyone have any thoughts or feedback?
I bought one for £5 when our local Allders closed down. It sits in the cupboard, very rarely use it, and I had exactly the same intentions!! I suppose it depends on if you are well enough organised to get it all done, freeze the slices separately etc. That said, it does slice very nicely and is wonderful for freshly baked bread (mostly do rolls so not much need for that either!!)What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

They have completely revamped the non-food grocery bit of the store (health, toiletries, cleaning, baby aisles) and I was a bit lost. I also saw lots of staff milling around changing prices and moving products around. Wonder what's up?
I got some vitamins on Sunday, seven seas cod liver oil with a-z multivitamins. Picked up 2 tubs with raspberry flavour effervescent. Sorry cant help with another trigger than the effervescent.0 -

Hi sorry I don't have one but when I was on oldstyle considering a breadmaker there were some posts on there.
Sorry it was a while ago so I don't have a link but it was on a thread: breadmakers are they worth it, or along those lines.
I am sure if you post on oldstyle they will be able to help.

You only have 5 items. You need 6 or keep to 3 including the Ambrosia Rice Pudding Original
Not only that with this you got a £14 voucher? your voucher would have been capped at £14 so you didnt lose that much.0 -
