I am thinking of getting my soon to be 6yo dd a NDS lite or DSi or 3DS. Do you think she is too young? also she once got hold of mine and dropped it and the hinge snapped, is there any way of reinforcing the hinges so this does not happen again? like a case or something?

    thanks xxx

We got our now 6 year old a dsi xl for his 5th birthday and it is still going strong, although he has been told that he if doesnt look after it, he wont be getting a replacement! Saying that his 2yo sister steals it off him and isnt that careful with it and its still fine.
We did get a case for it cheap from argos but always forget to actually use it.

Hey you lot, there is a mighty comfy sofa in the bar ...

and re the DS question, there are some really good young child games that are cheap - Pocoyo is a great one that my DS2 loved when he was 4 :o
  • I don't post often as am so busy with my baby and just starting back at work, but I feel compelled to post tonight...
I can't believe how often I have logged on lately to find a forum filled with moaning, and whining and adults essentially picking on each other. I am a teacher and find the children I teach, who are 5 years old, more mature than some people on here. It is depressing to read this thread now and I am now going to stop reading and close my account.
At the end of the day can't you just be kind to each other, you only live once, why fill your days with angst and stress over a forum. Leave each person to make savings, live life how they want and waste no more time being unkind. Celebrate the amazing glitches you have found and the savings you have made.
Bye, and thanks for the savings I have made over the last few months.

Can I ask did you get all your vouchers put on a gift card on Sunday. I seem to remember you saying that. I went there yesterday with a £25.00 APG and they were really stroppy. Did you do 8 more APG shops. If so how brave are you?
I was thinking exactly the same. Do you do more than one apg shop in a session? I read Henlans is happy to ss for half an hour and that store doesn't seem to object to that.

Is it still working please I know its the steradent 30 which makes it glitch I am just after the list, I have been onto the old threads but I am not finding the list.

When I put toothpase in the search box it just brings up a thread with goodness knows how many posts on it.

I got my son a ds ( 2nd hand hes a bit rough so didnt want to get new) the only thing i can say is he absolutely loves it, perhaps a bit too much. We have to limit his time as he would play on it from night till day. We got him a r4 card with it which was fab . not sure if i would buy a new one, he is absent minded and has dropped it a few times.

Just got back from A's, bit of a trouting with a £14 APG and ended up getting sent to CS to use it:( but nothing major, just had the normal huddle in a corner with a few SA's all reading from an URGENT Memo:rotfl::rotfl:
Massive thanks to whoever mentioned the £3 gammon, I've had to skip so much this week and have missed stacks but managed to find some tonight so MrLala is very happy, he loves a nice bit of gammon:T:T:T:T
