Well i'm shattered and caught the sun, good trip with the brownies all be it muddy but forget how tiring a whole day looking after other peoples children is. Just going to hang washing out and another load on before collapsing on sofa.
Eh xx0 -
...Feeling a tad used today and its making me cross, I was asked by my dd's friends mum if the friend could come back after school for a few weeks until she could drive again after an op, I of course said yes so nearly 4 weeks down the line, I get told by the child that she won't be coming back on Monday. No thanks from the mum, nothing. Now I wasn't expecting any grand gestures but a thank you would've been nice. Had to check I did'nt have mug written on my forehead!!!
Any way I must move on from it or I'll start getting resentful, I just know if I get asked again I shall say no.....
If it were me, I would ring the girl's mum "just to make sure that she has got the message right".....;)
Not much fabbing going on- have had sore throat, wcold and cold for over 2 weeks, but am finally starting to feel better. Bizarrely have put 2lbs on despite not doing much and eating little!!
Hey go, onwards and upwards (or in the case of my weight, downwards!)0 -
Morning all!
The sun has disappeared again and it looks like we're in for another day of rain. The only positive I can think of is that the dog will get to try out his new anorak!
I haven't slept well at all this week and feel tired and sluggish even after having a little lie in. Going to take the dog to the park in a minute to blow away the cobwebs and then go for a run for the first time in what seems like ages. It will be just a shortish one of 4k or so to get back into it. I can't let the running slip as I've committed to a charity 10k in the new year:eek:
Then its a good few hours of school work - biology lessons to write, at least they are more interesting ones about the human body, that sort of thing is more gripping for the kids especially as I've arranged some dissections for them to do - a bit of blood and guts always excites!
I may get around to do the hair colouring but no promises as I hate the task:o
Right enough sitting on my bum, time to get active......0 -
Morning everyone.
My fab plans for today are to walk up to town and back to have a look in a couple of sales, make another batch of soup for lunches, quick run round with the hoover, bath the dog and dry him, wash duvet cover if its fine for tomorrow then make a cheap tea from leftovers and storecupboard ingredients of bacon dumpling and a steamed pud and custard - who knows what these will taste like. Then its onto repainting nails, get work stuff ready and then back on the hamster wheel of work again.
Oh yes, exercise time today too - complete the final week of ripped in 30 - Level 4 by the end of the week........final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Good morning lovely ladies
Well I've been incredibly lazy this morning, just slugging arounding, reading - I'm even still in my pj's.
Still - I don't do it often....
Well done on the further weight loss WW - you make me feel soooo guilty - says she who has just eaten a healthy kit kat for breakfast. :rotfl:
I know, I know ...
I will get a grip - honest.:D0 -
Finally got my ironing done, only taken all morning and made carrot & potato soup with enough left for a couple lunches. I'm going to see how long I can last without a supermarket trip I convince myself it I must do it weekly! But I have a grocery budget this month i need to stick too.
I' m off for some fresh air before rain comes.0 -
Had a nice walk up to town and back and managed to find some excellent 10p bargains again to go into Christmas hampers and also some bargain tights too - 5 pairs for 10p!
Made 10 portions of spicy lentil soup from most things in the cupboards apart from coconut milk but still comes in at a low cost. Very nice too after eating a portion for lunch - rest going in the freezer for work lunches.
Time to bath the dog and then sort out tonights tea while listening to T20 on the radio, get work bag ready and then onto sorting my nails out nice and neatly painted
Did all the ironing this morning so thats another job done just leaving a zoom around with the hoover shortlyfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Did mine last night I hate it too, problem is my roots seem to grow through quicker and quicker.Need a haircut too will try and do that this week. Was naughty and had a takeaway last night but am back on the wagon again today, thing is I enjoyed the food but afterwards felt heavy and horrible. Made me realise I feel so much better for eating less rubbish.

Afternoon
Well I knew it had to happen at some time, DS has been playing competitive footie for the last 6 years injury free, 3.5 weeks before we go to Florida he's damaged his ankle, can't walk on it, hubby has taken him to A&E to get it checked out and the initial reports are that he's torn some ligaments in the ankle. Also he has a PE assessment tomorrow which goes towards his final GCSE grade - that doesn't look like its gonna happen now.
LL - re the ungrateful friend, I won't hold my breath for any thanks, the girls are in the first year at secondary school so there's no need for me to see her at all.
Going to make some cakes now, might cheer DS up when he gets in, he's abit of a cake monster!!
Take care all xxxChiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor
