Hello from a new lerker!
I am a bit of a procrastinator (sp?) but thought id give it a go at trying to actually do what I list (mentally and physically) on what id like to imporve in my life and about myself.
So I take it we make a list of what we would like to do and complete by December?
Well, my list goes something like this
- lose the 1 1/2 stone ive gained to get back to the weight I was last December
-do aerobic exercise 3 times a week to help with weightloss and energy levels
-do yoga 3 times a week to improve my muscle tone and help with my back-and de stress!!!
-spend more time actually being and playing with my lo's
-do 'something' other than watching tv (maybe reading or learning to crochet)
-beautify myself at least 3 times a week (e.g. do my nails, a facial, moisturise, get the awful hard skin off my feet!)
-learn to do something different to my hair other than wear it down, straight and natural
omg...a big list already which i could keep adding to but think that might not be a good thing!!!
so where to start?!
please forgive me if i dont comment regualrly and to each individual but I will be reading and putting my two pence in now and again!
good luck to everyone!0 -
My friend had to work late so we didnt get go do the sauna thing but her voucher runs out this month so hoping to go at the weekend.
This morning I have had a lovely hot bath and put a face pack on.
Next i emptied all my make up draws and threw away manky old stuff, sorted it all into different sections so all lipsticks in one, all eye stuff in another etc. Then i got a little basket and put a day cream, eye cream, night cream, body moisturiser etc in it and it will sit out on top of my dressing table so that I take care of my face every day, when it was all tucked away in the draws I didnt make much of an effort so am hoping this helps.
Filled nails and put a sally hansen strenghtener on them.
Paul mckeena still working for me, am a lot less bloated even in only 4 days, im not to weigh myself for 2 weeks though.0 -

Hi all
Well finally getting round to post my list of aims for December.
1. Lose at least 1 stone
2. Eat as clean as poss, all fresh and home cooked
3. Exercise at least 3 times a week
4. Do something to my hair (not sure what yet but will wait til after my hol to florida as its just long enough to put up at mo and will be much easier to look after).
5. Keep eyebrows tidy
6. Take care of myself.
I have had problems with my neck for years and despite visiting the docs they have never really known what to do with me, but I saw a locum on wed and he said it was not right and has sent me for a x-ray to see whats going on and I have that tomorrow (pretty quick) so hopefully will get it all sorted once and for all.
Great to hear everyones positive news and for those who are having a hard time big hugs to you.
I will try and catch up abit more often, hope everyone has a good evening.Chiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor

Well, I now feel human after some food and a 45 min soak in the bath.
Actually had a good day today - wore my new jacket and trousers and got loads of nice comments about them. One lady even said that I always looked lovely and she wished she was brave enough to not stick to boring grey suits all the time! Made my day!:)
Three people also suddenly said that I'd lost weight (obviously haven't since yesterday!) so I think they've just noticed - its funny that you don't really "look" at people when you see them every day I suppose. So all going well on the fabbing front.
I'd like to say that at least its the end of the week tomorrow but I have to work on Saturday morning for school open morning, what joy!
The money diet is going quite well so far this month - two more weeks to payday and all under control so far - CC bill paid, little overdraft paid off and a nice little wodge squirrelled away in the savings account. Just need to stay frugal and stick to budgets for the next 2 weeks and next month will be a little bit more relaxed but I still want to keep on the straight and narrrow and get a bit more back into the savings.
Best laid plans and all that........:p0 -
Good morning fabbers.
Having a nice relaxing time on holiday, very mixed bag of weather after the torrential downpours earlier this week. Also starting to feel like I'm coming down with a big cold too which isn't so good either.
Have done plenty of fab walking this week and dutifully stuck to fabbing by using up my travel size sachets of face mask, hair pre treatment and mask.
Also plenty of fabbing food wise with lots of lovely meals, puds and wine all staying on target kcal wise too.
Lastly, went for a lovely run too before I started to feel rubbish. Really nice to run down the country lanes with a coastal view. Very enjoyable and glad I took advantage on a rare fine day!
Mum also treated me to a blouse we found in the sale when visiting town yesterday dodging the rain. Really like the style and material - the colour isn't one I would usually go for but I love the blouse. Very classy in style and will be able to dress up or down with skirts, trousers or jeans. Mum also bought herself a lovely grey shorter jacquard top which really suited her and will go with plenty of things she already owns for nice days out or holudays. Both were a decent price of £17 reduced from £30 so not too bad spends there! Plus, we justified it by saying we have had a very cheap holiday so far!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good Morning Ladies - Just a quick reminder it's Friday so that means up the fabulosity today.
It's grim here today, cold, grey, windy and "Mizzly" - that's Derbyshire talk. "Mizzle" means a cross between drizzle and mist. Although how you can have mist and wind defeats me but hey - that's English weather for you. And yes - I've got the heating on....
So, apart from nipping out to the local shops for a few bits, today is an inside day. Going to make some chutney and tackle a few drawers that need tidying out - just a little light pottering today.
I have SIL popping round this afternoon and it's the last day of DS2's holiday so a nice relaxing day. I was going to go into town to look for some autumn/winter clothes but I cba.
Last evening I went to visit a nursing home for OH. I've decided that I'm really not happy with things plus the 19 mile trip is taking it's toll. I'm exhausted.
I went to see one last night which is a 10 minute walk away. I only found out about it this week. Social Services tell you nothing. I'm not sure - well you can't judge by appearances - the proof of the pudding and all that. However, I sort of know someone who works there so am hoping for some insider information before I make my final decision.
Is it worth moving him if I am going to move again shortly (hopefully). I think so. I am quite happy to stay within this locality and there are a couple of interesting bungalows currently for sale.
Right I'm off to the shops. I'm having real problems with allergies at the moment. I'm taking anti-histamines but my eyes are dreadfully sore and itchy so will try some over the counter eye drops. The chemist is near a charity shop so of course I'll pop my head round the door ....
Glad you enjoyed your holiday Sparkles.
Have a good day.0 -

They are so unhelpfull aren't they. At least with a nearer one it would be easier to keep tabs on his care. I hope this home is ok. It would be great for you to have your OH so close by.

My son is struggling with this too. Not sure what it is but his eyes look awful. Hope you get some relief.
Not sure how fab I'll be today lots more cleaning to do.
Need to dye my hair desperately too, could do with adding it to my goals! Do hair before you look like you've had a fight with a paint roller.:rotfl::rotfl:Its one job I hate.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Morning all,
Just a quick one today, am at work and should really be, you know, workingFeeling a bit unfab this week I must admit, busy as usual and not had much time but still could probably have made more of an effort. OH's mate is round tonight as well so probably not much getting done then either. Need to get myself in gear
