Got up early, bathed and washed & styled my hair then fabbed my house from top to bottom ready for the big moment....
At the risk of sounding conceited I have to say my house looks pretty good, all my showhouse dressing skills not forgotten:rotfl:. It's scrubbed up well.
The first thing the EA commented on was the front and garage doors. He was so excited, he rushed straight to the kitchen demanding to see the makeover. He went through the house grinning from ear to ear at all the little tweaks and flourishes.
He asked me how much I'd spent on the kitchen - he couldn't believe i'd done it for so little. We MSE'rs know a thing or to.;)
I know he's only a youngster but it was nice to see him so enthusiastic about my house - it bodes well. Fingers crossed. I've done all I can so now we'll just have to wait and see. Just a couple of bits of "snagging" left before any viewers arrive - but I've got a week or so to finish them.
So now it's my turn - do the snagging, a trip to the tip and then a nice rest and start some serious "me" fabbing.
Tonight I shall start with a manicure and paint my nails and then the boy and I shall indulge in some celebratory Ben & Jerry's ice-cream. DS2 has been an absolute star, he has worked like a demon this last couple of days - even his bedroom is pristine:rotfl::rotfl:
Mooloo - sounds like you've had some good fun with your fabbing. Don't feel guilty about spending a bit of money on yourself for a change.
My bank balance has taken a bit of a hammering this last week - in fact I'm just going to do a transfer from my rapidly depleting savings acccount to my current account.
Luckily my financial woes are nearly over - my ship is finally about to come in....
That's me being mysterious;) All will be revealed in good time.
Off to do that transfer, cook dinner and tackle that ice-cream.0 -

Hello all!
After a night of no sleep and having to resort to Nytol I felt absolutely rubbish this morning but have slowly improved through the day and am quite good now (nearly bed time!).
Another madly busy day but a productive one, even managed three of my little goals for the week - got something in the house fixed (the gas hob ignition switch), had 5 a day and started a new library book in the bath earlier, apparently the Norwegian author is the new Steig Larsson (quite good so far anyway).
No exercise other than dogwalking done in the monsoons since Sunday but I will force myself tomorrow.
LL - intrigue! Have you won the pools!?:rotfl:
Hope anyone feeling a bit down and below par is feeling a bit better? This weather is enough to drive you to drink - its hasn't stopped raining here for a full 48 hours now!
My organised walk for tomorrow evening has been cancelled due to waterlogging:mad:.
The jacket ordered from Next sale has arrived - its very nice and so I'll keep it (a bargain, reduced from £69 to £25 and from the season stuff too) but the trousers haven't come yet.
I will try to be a bit more fab tomorrow - hopefully sleeping tonight will be a good start.0 -
Evening fabbers
Confess I've not been running for days, done any formal exercise or even yoga for last two days
Head has been all over the place. Looks like H has got the job :eek: which means we will be relocating. Which also means a shed load of house fabbing has to take place and as quickly as possible. So I suspect personal fabbing will be put on hold whilst that takes precedent.
H has to go back down to meet and greet, they want to check he's happy with the role etc before they make a formal offer but since they've rejected all other candidates there isn't anyone else who they can offer it to :rotfl:
On the fabbing front I have treated myself to some lovely black leather knee high boots from Sainsbugs, real leather with 25% off :T along with some new tops and one rather low cut dress  H likes that one
Will need to pull myself together but today has gone in a daze
LL I shall need all your house fabbing and selling houses tips
Claire good luck with the PMcK, I have it (well read) just need to actually do it........:o
Sorry there are too many posts to catch up on
Hope everyone is surviving the bad weather

After having worked flat out for the last few months my intention is to take a bit of time and space and "heal" - not that I feel ill as such, just very very tired.
What is Clean and Lean - I'm intrigued.
Its a diet book, by Elle Macpherson and Hugh Grants personal trainer. It concentrates on eating good quality fresh protein, fruit and vegetable and avoiding sugar and additives etc in all their guises. It's pretty sensible tbh and has a rather nice granola recipie in one of the books!0 -

No not the pools or the lottery:rotfl::rotfl: A legacy will shortly be winging it's way- no details yet.
Hope you feel better soon.0 -

That's fantastic news Bitsy - you both must be very relieved. The house move will of course be an upheaval but I'm sure it will all work out fine in the end. Try not to get too stressed.
I would be more than happy to pass on any tips on house selling etc and help if I can. Of course the market is topsy-turvey at the moment and, despite all my work, I've no guarantee that my efforts will be successful. We'll just have to wait and see.
Will your husband's new employers help with moving costs. In the past my OH's employers did - moving costs, legals etc - it was a great help and softened the blow a bit.
Thanks Evilsquid - sounds interesting - healthy eating with knobs on.:rotfl:
Right I'm off to bed. G'night all.0 -
Morning all,
Mooloo - glad you had a nice relaxing day x
LL - sounds like the estate agent was really impressed, which is a great sign. I agree the market is very unpredictable at the moment, but sounds like you've done all you can to give it the best chance of selling quickly - fingers crossed! And 'legacy' sounds quite exciting - keep us updated
Bitsy - that's great news on OH getting the job :T hope the move will all work out well x
Had choir last night, enjoyed it but we were on the early session so had to go straight from work and rather a long night. Didn't get much else done when I got in but still feeling really shattered this morning. Am feeling like this a bit too much at the moment tbh - need to try and kickstart myself back onto the healthy eating and see if that helps. Now just need to find some energy for that :rotfl:
In other news, got another weddding booking yesterday, May next year, which is good! Not even meet this woman yet, which is a little odd - she's just seen my site and we've been chatting by email. Lots of editing to do tonight on my new anthology story, has to be sent off by weekend. Maybe I could have an hours nap when I get home first
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Had a thread vein on the side of my nose gor 2 years, today had IPL test done on me, zap me with a laser. Treatment starts on Friday then another in 6 weeks. Really annoyed me for all that time as it looks like I have a spot, so im glad I have gotten round to doing something about it.
Swim steam and sauna tonight with my friend who won a freebie.
Paul McKenna , listened to CD again last night and I just dont feel that hungry, hope I can keep it up.
Just ordered a new pair of jeans in Debenhams sale with the 20% code and a scarf also from the grabbit board, nice orange pattern to go with my wardrobe styling planning, had a belt and bag in orange so now im all matched up.0
