Feeling a bit bleugh today so I spent most of the day in bed snoozing and relaxing so hopefully I have chased away whatever wee bug was threatening to strike
This weekend we are going to do quite a bit of house fabbing in time for the festive season. We are going to clear and paint the dining room which I am very excited about as it is going to become my wee haven after the hols. I am going to move my crafting things in there so that I have my piano, writing area and crafting things all together. OH has his own space in the house and this will be mine
I started putting up the decorations and as a result I am beginning to feel a bit more festive :j Also got a couple of gifts wrapped which always cheers me up and I am going to write a wee list of all the tasty bits we need for xmas dinner.
Hoping to also get the garden tidied up a bit, a great excuse to get some fresh air.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Evening all - well done PP - you will have another customer (me!) when I get my Kindle Fire from mum for Xmas.
Had a nightmare 24 hours - the dog was really ill last night, vomiting constantly and very distressed. Ended up taking him to the animal hospital at 11pm and having to leave him there at 2am. He's had loads of tests and Xrays and the vet thinks it may be pancreatitis but needs another ultrasound to confirm it. I've brought him home tonight but we're going back in the morning for more tests and scans.:(
Had to go to work after literally no sleep and then spent 90 mins in a traffic jam collecting him tonight - and am £550 worse off so far (more scans and treatment to come):eek:Thankfully he's insured.
So I'm shatttered and waiting for the pizza delivery man to come - b*gger the diet tonight.:o0 -
WW so sorry to hear about your dog. It is so distressing when as animal is ill.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

PP - wowie!!!!:T:T:T:T I am so pleased for you, you deserve it - another potential customer here, will get DS1 to download it for me. He is "borrowing" my kindle....
WW - So sorry to hear about your poor little dog, fingers crossed.
Rummer - hope you feel better soon.
Well signed the lease today, bought some insurance so we can start moving stuff in, organised the utilities, took a car load of stuff to the tip, another 3 bags ready for the charity shop tomorrow, did a pile of ironing - quite a day.;)
The house is an absolute tip, so I need to get a grip tomorrow and do some serious cleaning before I can get the Christmas decorations up.
Time for bed .....

LL - when do you actually move? You must be up to your eyeballs at the moment! Don't forget to have a little relax every now and then.
Been on dogwatch all night and thankfully he slept for most of it, he's still groggy from painkillers and treatments but he's still not eating or drinking. I'm not worried about that yet as he was on a drip until 6.30pm last night so is ok for now but needs to start at least drinking soon. We're off for an ultrasound scan this morning and more tests - might have a better idea of what's going on later. He's been such a good companion to me over the ups and downs of the last 8 years that I owe it to him to do whatever it takes to get him better - he's normally such a little bundle of personality and naughtiness that when he's ill its really noticable.
One of the Xrays also showed some bladder stones that aren't contributing to the current illness but will need to be sorted out in teh future too. Poor poocher.:(
With all of the drama yesterday I had to miss the work Xmas do - the only positive is that I haven't spent a load of money and I don't have a hangover. There's another night out next Friday ( a dept one rather than a whole school job) so as long as the pooch is a bit better I can go on that one instead. The frock stays in the wardrobe for now:rotfl:
Got paid yesterday - good job with all of the extra outgoings - and have put all of the sofa money to one side so when I get a few spare mins I can phone them and pay the whole thing off using money specifically saved up - quite proud that I've done this in the time I set myself.
Right, better get on with something before we have to set off for the trek across Manchester back to the animal hospital......0 -
WW so sorry to hear about your dog. I hope he is better soon. I know how stressful it is when pets are ill.
Thought I had better get my butt back here as winter weather and central heating has really taken its toll on my skin and my spirits. I can hardly remember the last time I did a cleanse, moisturise as I just feel too harassed and busy and tired to be bothered. In the mornings it is as quick as I can get myself ready and out the door and in the evenings I just head straight for bed. This needs to stop.
Today's fabbing plans:
1. Get out for a walk this morning.
2. I have treated myself to a full body massage at 11am today so that should help the very dry skin on my legs. Done, feeling much more energised now.
3. Tonight - swim (the first in months), spa and steam at local gym.
4. Start the double cleanse, moisturise routine today both morning and evening.
On the plus side I have lost almost a stone over the past 6 weeks and I am hoping to lose some more weight over Christmas with having time to get more exercise in.
I had better get cracking as I am still in my PJs!!0 -
WW - hope your littel dog recovers soon from this, always upsetting when this happens x
I've done a most of the christmas food shop today so feeling pleased that's almost sorted. There's only a few little bits left to get next weekend when I can walk up and get it in one bag.
Today is a busy old day about to put some soup on to cook for lunch and then to freeze, catch up on some cleaning, do some baking, put a stew onto cook for tea, maybe drag myself out for a run, long dog walk later then write some cards and package up some presents.

Dog update - had another ultrasound yesterday and the vet thought his lymph glands and possibly an adrenal gland were enlarged. She's not sure why - could be an infection or could be something more sinsiter. He had more pain relief yesterday and was very quiet and groggy last night but woke me up this morning drinking one of the many bowls of water dotted around the house - progress because he wouldn't even do this previously.
He's also had a tiny bit of cooked chicken breast this morning - again a little step in the right direction. He's done a few wees and one liquid poo which was expected as she could see some fluid in his bowel on the scan yesterday. He seems a bit brighter but that may be the painkillers wearing off.
Fingers crossed, he'll keep improving today. He's on antibiotics and dog Zantac in the hope that if it is an infection it will make his glands go down - if this happens it may not be cancer.
So another day of worry and watching him like a hawk is on the cards.......0
