  • Had a good sort out of toiletries today which were breeding like rabbits onto surfaces. Good to see some fabbing done there.

Minimal fabbing apart from thinking about what I put on in the morning and outing stuff that I don't feel good in. PJs/nightwear is somewhere I need to fab things a bit more :)

So nice to read how everyone is doing. :A

Morning all! Its freezing here - just back from walking the dog and my hands are frozen - brrrr!

Had a bit of a sort out of the underwear drawer last night and did a full defuzz and moisturise - does anyone else get really hot in bed after using body lotion? It doesn't matter what kind I use its always the same  I wake up sweating and all hot and bothered. Perhaps I'm a bit odd?

Going to do a load of schoolwork today to try to get me through the next couple of weeks - I'm busy for the next two weekends and so need to get a bit of work "in the bank" ready.
Will take the dog on a long walk this afternoon for a bit of fresh air and exercise - may even add a little run on afterwards to get the blood pumping.

Have made appointments for nails and a wash and blow dry for next weekend - my hair always looks loads better when someone else dries it - need to look vaguely presentable for the meet up with the interested bloke:rotfl:
At the moment he'd run for the hills - I'm sporting a rather attractive fleece and running bottoms and a natty baseball hat - quite a looker!:)
  • Morning everyone.

Fab wise - face mask the other day and hair mask this morning and fabbed nails back up yesterday as they are splitting merrily away.

Yesterday made some christmas cakes 2 loaf size ones and 2 mini ones which look so cute!. Not bad out of the mixture for a huge cake like I have done for the last few years meaning this will be much better for all our waistlines for a change!

Took lots of clothes back for refunds after being brutal in the decision making if they looked nice or not or fitted instead of keeping them because they were cheap.

Not much else to report apart from I'm off to bake a birthday cake in a bit for a birthday tea later today and that's about it for today! Oh yes, will be keeping an eye on ebay today as have lots finishing later on to go towards the cc repayments - fingers crossed they do well.

Cold here too! Been thinking about how to use up the stash of mineral powders I have and today I thought..doh use them after foundation. Bit of double layering of make up but it saves using my more expensive face powder. So slap is on :)

  • Evening everybody!

I can't be bothered to do much of anything at the moment. Even going out for a run seems like too much effort. Anybody got a motivation potion they can send my way? :o

mineallmine - may I recommend satin PJs? Really comfy, good for slouching and feel luxurious somehow. Also can be pretty cheap if you shop around.

WW - good luck on your date! I think you should definitely have fun and take a lover if you fancy. Why not! If you are happy on your own it would mean you could have a bit of company without having to be someone's maid. ;)

As for moisturiser, I heard it works best at night but I get too hot also, so I tend to moisturise after a shower now.

PP - Well done for having started your Christmas shopping. I'm trying to do the frugal Christmas thing too but can't summon the energy to start this year. Any top tips for frugal presents? I'd like to make some foody presents, but that would require me to not be lazy. Damn.

Your book will be out in less than 5 weeks!!!! That's incredible. Are you excited??
Not buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!
  • go WW! im sure you'll have a brilliant time! x

LL - have a good look round, some we saw when we looked were vastly different sizes and quality and were on for the same prices, the differences in some were shocking!

cherryprint - I've dyed my clothes using the one that goes in the washing machine a few times and never had any trouble. The instructions are pretty simple (think I used dylon) and mine all came out great.

LL - congrats on the house offer and job offer! Hope the house sale all goes through with no problems.

WW - good luck on your date :)

poderson - it's all hormonal BC that affects me. I'm obviously a delicate little flower haha :)

    Morning all,

Well it's been a quite nice, if busy as usual, weekend. After the write in on Saturday met a friend for coffee and a catch up on Sunday and managed to get back up to word count on Nano last night - hopefully can keep it up during the week!

Cherry - I am so excited about the book but am starting to get a little nervous now as well. What if no one buys it? Or if they buy it but all hate it  How are you getting on? Are you still doing Nano?

Am thinking I need to be getting signed up for all the sites that I've been putting off as well - so things like Twitter, Google+, Goodreads etc. Not that keen on them but apparently should be on all of them :( I wish I could afford to pay someone to promote it for me :rotfl:
Hope everyone is having a good day x

    Good morning ladies.

Don't forget to add a little Magic to your Monday.

Today I'm going to have a "day off".

This morning I shall be going for some physio. I attend the Sports Injury clinic, part of a David Lloyd complex, which has a very nice coffee shop/restaurant.

My appt is at 12 o'clock, so after my treatment my Monday Magic will be a nice "lite bite" and a cup of coffee, followed by a mini stock up at Costco and a mooch round a couple of chazza shops.

Nice and lazy today.:D Then choir tonight.

Can second Dylon dyes. Dead easy. I've dyed loads of stuff in the past. I am a 60's child don't forget - all those crazy colours, tie dying etc. :rotfl:

One of my most successful dye jobs was loose sofa covers.

During the early 90's I had had a yellow and navy themed sitting room - yes I know sounds horribly naff now but it was fun at the time. Anyway I got bored with it so I decided to do one of my revamps.

I had bought a beautiful Turkish Rug in soft muted shades, with terracotta being the most prominent. I just fell in love with it but it wasn't until I got home it home that I realised just how badly it clashed with the yellow.

Toning down the walls was easy, as was picking up some cheap fabric for curtains but the bright golden yellow sofas stuck out like a sore thumb.

Problem was there was nothing wrong with them so chucking them out was an absolute no-no. Getting them recovered would have cost and arm and a leg so I resigned myself to getting the sewing machine out and making my own loose covers.

I really didn't fancy that especially after I had priced up the fabric and realised I was looking at around £300. So I decided to have a go at dying the sofa covers. I chose an organge/terracotta type colour. They had to be split into four separate job lots, and it cost me about £25 all told. I was really nervous but they came out as a perfect match to the terracotta in the rug. :D

Another cheap and cheerful redo. ;)

Anyway enough of my prattle - time to start the day.

    Have a great day y'all.

    Edited.

PP - our posts crossed. Congrats on the book. How exciting. Is it paperback or hardback, how much will it be. Will your publishers help with marketing. Can you offer to do a book signing session anywhere.

It's going to be on ebook so am thinking mainly need to concentrate on internet type marketing. The publishers do do a bit of marketing, they will send to review sites, put it on their website etc but they do expect you to do some of your own and I'm not entirely sure where to start tbh!

Hope you have a lovely relaxed day x
