Good evening ladies! (And if there are any gents here, hi too).
Still struggling with motivation. Feeling like I'm just coasting at the moment. I need to make an effort and put a bit of pizazz back in my life! I really ought to follow WW's example and get out and join some groups. I'm thinking I might start going to yoga.
PP- I have no idea what I'm doing with Nano, TBH. I started last night () but I've just got no motivation at the moment. No idea why. This time last year I was addicted to it and totally crazed.
Online promotion sounds good for your e-book. There is lots of guidance online about how to promote things through social media, but letting everyone know on Twitter and Facebook is a good place to start. Let us know the details and we can probably help too!
bratz and LL - Okay, I'm going to get some of that dye stuff! LL, you're very creative! Any tips for revamping your wardrobe for a budget of about...50p?
Take care! xNot buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!0 -

Morning all,
Feeling bit cacky this morning - really didn't sleep well last night which isn't helping. And of course it's s*d's law that the other lass hasn't shown up and the phones are ringing off the hook. Not feeling very motivated at the moment. Hit 20k last night on the Nano but was under for the daily count and even that seemed like a bit of a grind. I think have hit the draggy midpointSupposed to have choir though if I still like this when I finish work I'm tempted to go back to bed instead! Feel free to kick me as am definately have a 'can't be bothered' day
Edit - work lass has just called in, she's just woke up now and will be in in an hour  Sometimes I think she's off more often then she's in - she only does 3 days a week anyway!0 -
Pp- hope your day gets a bit better.
I'm being so lazy, got time off loads of things to do but I found daytime tv! Meeting a friend for coffee/lunch so excuse to get fabbed up and some fresh air!
Eh xx0 -
Quick catch up:
Keeping up with the fabbing.
Sat watching tv tonight and did a manicure (shape, cuticles and hand cream) tonight and thought of you all. Have a hair appointment booked for Saturday, just a cut and blow dry as highlights not too bad and I have a spray that works OK which will see me through to next appointment if roots start to look dark.
Off to see Pre-Raphaelites (I love them) on Thursday.
Back soon, am managing to read but not post at the moment.:)0 -
Morning all,
I've decided I want to do more, so I'm not watching TV for a whole and I've seriously cut down on my internet time (though I will, of course, be keeping up with this forum).
Because I've been feeling like I've lost direction and was slipping back into being unhappy, I've tried to make some more changes. I started the very first part of job hunting. And for fun, I've also started a list of things to do before my birthday next summer. (My favourite one so far is to wear 50s dresses to the cinema with a friend and watch an old film).
Better get ready for work! For anyone working Mon-Fri, hoorah, you're halfway through to the weekend!

Morning all,
We're a little quiet on here this week - hope everyone's ok and just busy fabbing
Cherry - I don't watch anywhere near as much tv as I used to, I tend to have it on when I'm doing something else, like writing or photo editing. There's one or two things I will actually 'watch' during the week but I think it's all too easy just to veg in front of it to cack that you're not really bothered about, it's just on. The list sounds like a good plan, I did one last year and it seemed really pie-in-the-sky at the time, eg get paid wedding work, get writing published - and it's surprising how much of it you can get done if you just put your mind to it
Anyway, saying that have not done much! Was still feeling rubbish last night so ended up going to bed at about 7 - and then waking up about midnight and not being able to get back to sleep  So, not feeling much better today and really wishing didn't have to work! Still, opened my email this morning to the official contract for my anthology story and the final line edits for my Christmas story - so that's cheered me up a littleAlso after about 3 months I've finally twigged that I should be putting tags on my blog posts so seem to have a few new people liking/following (I'm useless with technology!). Anyone do a successful blog?
Hope everyone is having a good day x0 -
Good morning All.
Just a quickie.
Agree with you both - I need to find more time......
Had a really manic day yesterday - hospital appt with OH and then home to loads of phone calls and admin. Still got more to work through today.
50p wardrobe updates - ooh that's a tall order. :rotfl: - even for a diy guru like me......
How about vegetable dyes ?? Google for instructions.
Scraps of lace, trimmings, a bit of embroidery. Cheap and cheerful accessories, belts, scarves, costume jewellery. Try putting outfits together in a different way, different combinations etc.
One of the best ways to "upgrade" an outfit such as a jacket, cardie etc is to change the buttons. Problem is really nice buttons have become quite expensive.
It's a family tradition here - going back to at least my grandmother that the women of the family keep a "button box". The really nice ones get used on clothing while the cheap and cheerful ones get used in "projects" and artworks etc.
Even now my sister and I will go through mum's button box when we are in reminiscing mode. My kids learned their colours by grouping the buttons together - we also did the same with Smarties. The red smarties were also used as "lipstick". :rotfl:
Time to get cracking....
Have a good day.0 -
Hi ladies, am lurking but feeling decidedly unfab thanks to stupid cold. Now have a banging headache thanks to claggy sinus tubes and just want to lie down and sleep.
However in more exciting news I picked up my xmas do dress from new look and it fits, it looks fabulous and even better only cost me £22.99
Pod feel better soon xx
Cherry I am the same, not so much TV but time onlineI need to do more rather than read about other people doing it
Maman enjoy your gig.
Hugs and high fives all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
