Morning all!
LL - Good call on stocking up on essentials and with your positive attitude, I'm sure you will make the best of it. Idiotic of them to put you in that situation in the first place though! Grr.
SJP - what's a micro-pedi?
fedupandskint - I want to get to where you are eventually i.e. get to a healthy weight and maintain it! Well done.
Today we're having a visit from my mother in law, which means operation House Ship-Shape needs to be done...now. :rotfl: I've just bought some marigolds so I put hand cream on before I did the washing up to get an intensive moisturising treatment. It worked really well! The way I see it, it's house fabbing and me fabbing in one!
Today (after panic tidying), I'm planning the following: eyebrows sort, repaint nails, paint toenails, exfoliate, make up and do hair so that I look/feel fairly decent today. I also need to squeeze in a run before MIL turns up. Better get cracking!
Off now to rustle up some kind of healthy breakfast! Have a great Saturday all. xxxNot buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!0 -
That's rubbish LL - no wonder you were spitting feathers. But you have a great attitude and I think I could learn a lot from it!0

LL - what a kick in the teeth. I can understand why you're furious. Nov 6th is about 3 weeks away I think so its doable but not much fun. Good luck.
Had a little lie in today until about 8am and fell asleep on the sofa for an hour last night - not like me so I must have needed it. Actually feel much better this morning, have woken up with some energy.
I'm off on an organised walk this morning with the dog, its a kind of victory walk after one of the local councils tried to shut a footpath but after protest they've had to leave it open. A few walking groups have banded together to do a joint walk along it to show support. Its not something I knew about or had any involvement in but will go to swell the numbers and get a bit of fresh air, lots of dogs are going by all account too so the poocher will enjoy it. Its actually sunny so far so its looking good.
Otherwise its a visit to the library to pick up some books I've ordered, maybe a whizz round the supermarket (although might leave that until tomorrow), a good clean of the house and a run later to get the legs moving again.
Was just checking my diary and have discovered that its only 10 weeks to Xmas:eek: It will be here before we know it - I haven't done anything for it yet - no saving up, no buying of anything, no plans..... I'm spending it in Wales with my family - they usually come to me so it will be a nice change not to have to do all of the organising.
I think we can say that the festivities really begin a few weeks before (Xmas dos etc) so we have about 8 weeks to be in tip top fab condition. Bettter get cracking .......0 -
Measurements taken - 2 inches gone from chest measurements totally 4 inches lost from there in the last year and possibly 6 in reality as I was bigger than the bra size I wore. Everywhere else remained the same - good going!
Marmalade is on the go now ready to finish off later this morning and some fruitburst muffins are in the oven full of dried fruit from the cupboard. A good way of using up some of this which I've had for a long time!
Next will be some cleaning once I've tested the muffins for taste and quality with a coffee - yum!
WW - Christmas wise - I've made a start on the presents and am about halfway there now and a bit stumped about what else to get. Nice to have made a start thoughfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good morning ladies
Thank you for the votes of confidence. I knew I could rely on you lot for some moral support.:D
Yes, of course I'll get through it. We fabbers are made of stern stuff.
I just wish I could get a decent night's sleep....
I keep waking up, my mind racing - doing the maths in my dreams - hardly surprising though really. Never mind I think the worst will be over soon.
I have decided to ring the local antiques centre to see about getting a stand. There is a long waiting list for pitches but in the meantime they've suggested I ring them on a Wednesday to see if there any cancellations for the following weekend. Wish me luck.
Now that I'm no longer in receipt of benefits I can try and push ahead and try and earn myself some money.
10 weeks till Christmas  Ours will be a quiet one but if I'm going to make any progress I'm going to have to up the fabbing a gear or three.
Did eyebrows yesterday, so today it's the asprin face mask, up the exercise again and fit in another short walk.
Slowly but surely working my way through that elephant...
Have a fab weekend.0 -
Morning All,
Gorgeous sun & blue skies here, off to gym hardcore aerobics later could hardly walk after last week.
Have eaten better this week and feel much better, less bloated and more energised. Currently making homemade soup for lunches next week. And then cheese sauce for broccoli & cauliflower cheese. All from store cupboard ingredients, very mse.
I have worn make-up and perfume this week its amazing how often this thread at back of my mind now as a prompt!
Hope everyone has a nice day, hugs if you need one Eh xx0 -
Hello!
Just found this - I haven't caught up on all the posts but this is a lovely thread
From the first post about using perfume every day touched a nerve. That's so right. I have a ton of make up so it makes sense to use that every day too. I have loads of hair products so it (... you get the picture now).
Look forward to reading your posts :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hi all,
maman - hope you enjoy your wedding x
ww - hope it stays nice for your walk, have a good weekend, sometimes you just need some quiet time, especially with you being so busy lately.
LL - I don't know what to say, just when you think you've reached the limit of their complete incompetence and uncaring attitude then low and behold they manage something else  If you currently have zero income then I don't understand how they can expect so much back a week - I thought repayments were based on your incomings? As ww said it's only a few weeks to the 3rd so hang in there, hope you get the money-making plans up and running asap x
Cherry - hope the MIL visit goes ok, we're like that with the mad panic tidying if one of our mums are coming to visit - although with them being 200 miles away it doesn't need doing as much now :rotfl:
mineallmine - welcome! the perfume every day is a great start, just small steps and putting little routines in place, and they become habit before you know it. I don't even think about the perfume now, I put a bottle out where I will see it when I'm doing my morning bits and pieces and it's just habit now. Still need to work on the make-up sometimes though
Well, had an exciting night of editing last night - though it did go along better with a large drink :rotfl:Think that might have been why I was feeling a bit fuzzy this morning so forced myself out for a c25k session, definately harder work when I haven't done for a bit! Ended up at Asda and actually bought myself a winter coat - have needed one for a while - it's a dark burgundy, come to about mid=thigh with a little bit of a flare at the bottom and has military style fastenings up the front. OH in his useful tactful manner said 'it's very you' - me being quite surprised cause I didn't think he would like it, said 'in what way?' - well, the fastenings look like it's a strait jacket :rotfl:thanks hun!
Gonna put some tea on in a min and then hopefully can get the editing finished tonight. Hope everyone's having a good Sat x0 -
Pod - trust a man to give you a back handed compliment! Your coat sounds lovely- nice autumnal colour too.
Went on the walk, it did rain for about 10 mins but it wasn't too bad. Had to laugh though, as well as my usual walking group who are very down to earth and "normal" there was a group of hardcore Ramblers that had campaigned to keep a path open. Talk about stereotypical walkers - lots of bobble hats and walking sticks;) The path turned out to be a bit of an anticlimax - just a normal set of steps and path - had a good bit of fresh air and exercise and the dog enjoyed it.
Got back about 1.30pm and then had a busy afternoon of cleaning, washing, tidying, popping to the library and finally doing the shopping - all the chores done and the house is spick and span. I always feel much more relaxed and at home when the house is freshly cleaned, have even changed the bed so everything is sparkly clean. Getting all the domestic stuff out of the way today means I'll have more time to fritter away tomorrow.
Looking forward to having a nice tea, a quick dog walk and a good long soak in the bath and then settling down with the heating on all snuggled up and watching a film with maybe a little glass of wine.:p0 -
I've had a very productive day - all cleaning done apart from the floor mopping, bins emptied, ironing done and some washing.
Made a lovely veggie curry for tea and a great pud and feel much better for a hot tea as I could feel a bit of a cold coming on with a vengence after taking the dog for his walk.
Feel better for getting all that done today and can have a very relaxing day tomorrow and a walk up to town to collect some sale order trousers and see if they fit and some presents for Christmas
Fab wise today - house is fabbed up nicely and I have filed my nails and applied a nail strengthener
Definitely an early night tonight to see if I can sleep off those symptoms and that sore chest and throat disappear overnightfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
