First weekend shop after DS moved out and I am shocked at how much is left. I am seriously wondering if there was a girlfriend living here that I hadn't noticed :rotfl: as at least two people's food hasn't gone...

Might start buying the cake and pudding ingredients ready for my Xmas cook-in in two weeks time - I offered to make mini Xmas puds to sell at the Xmas market (using my old school recipe from some years ago...:money:) and I use cheap milk saucepans with the handle removed to make full height Xmas cakes for singles/couples that don't want a big one (three to a batch) but want something homemade for visitors. Oh yes, and I make mincemeat that is a variation on Queen D's (:A) for my HM mince pies. This is the part of Xmas I love :o

Quick review of MySM next I think

    Enjoy the weekend everyone

  • First NSD today in a while - did go out to buy pet food but that is not included in our budget. :)
  • Tesco grocery shop done and delivered

However I had a huge shock when I saw they took £128 from my account

I always order online, and usually the same items 90% of the time. Anyway I order my meat from the counter, 2 mince 300g, 2 stewed beef 300g, 2 steak etc you get the point. Well they sent 2KG!! of each thing!! Anyway a phone call later and £58.06 is being refunded and they were very apologetic.

So first grocery spends of the month £70. Will receive 11.20 back from mum and then £30 from kids dad too

So declaring spends of £59 :)

Ay money saved on groceries will pay for a couple of Xmas pressies, although I will need to do a big shop the day we get back

It means yellow sticker - the reduced to clear stuff at supermarkets. I rarely have much luck but some people on here get the bulk of their shopping reduced!

Just back from MrS with the weekly shop - £45.90 (needed a lot of toiletry/cleaning products this week) plus milk yesterday £1.74 - taking me to £119.47/£200.

Hoping to avoid the supermarket till Tues/Wed now.
