Huawei G300 a step up from original HTC desire?

I have the original HTC desire would the HUAWEI G300 be much of a step up, i find it hard to believe that something so cheap (be giving them away in cereal packets next) can be any good.

I do really like my desire but it's starting to struggle and suffers from some lag, bit concerned buying a phone that noone has heard of and that is so cheap.

It must be most talked about phone on this forum though should call it the HUAWEI MSE!

For the money if it is a decent step forward i would consider buying one, OH sold her desire on ebay for £82 last week so it would in effect be a free upgrade?/sidestep?/backward step?

I wouldn't say that it is really a step up:

It probably is the third - after iPhone and Galaxy S3. Just look a little down the page.

    Neither IMO.

It's pretty much the same with a bigger screen and more internal storage. It is an upgrade, but a very small one.
  • It'll feel like an upgrade when you first get it as it'll probably run faster than your current phone (due to lack of internet cache and general rubbish on phone). The G300 has an official 4.0 upgrade now which I'm sure you'll like

As the OP gave three options, I have no idea which one of them you don't disagree with!

    "don't disagree" = "agree"?

I said that I disagreed with all three. I don't see any step. It's just standing and shifting one's feet.
English is not my first language, but I think 'sidestep' has some different meaning.

    Sorry, I didn't realize.
OK then, either /neither are only used when considering two options. If three or more, use any/none (a corruption of 'not one').
I think that sidewards move is much more commonly used by Britons than sidestep(which I think might be American). So, as it means 'move to equivalent level' then you couldn't really disagree with all three :)
  • Spec-wise very similar but let's face it if you can get back the cost of buying a brand new G300 by selling an old, slowing Desire then it's certainly worth at least considering. If only for the warranty/peace of mind.

Any links to the 'offcial' upgrade - I haven't seen one myself

Only heard of 'unofficial'/DIY upgrades to ICS
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
  • how much difference is g300 and san francs. I've got the old san fran how much quicker and is it worth getting the g300. 600mhz--1000mhz .
