It just seems to be taking so flipping long......and it's not like this sort of thing hasn't happened before with other mobile makers.

I managed to get both versions of ICS from Huawei site before they were pulled.

Someone has probably put the zip file on a free download site somewhere... may have a look around later. (in case do I buy the G300!)

I am surprised by £40+ at ebay (real bids), but no way amazon price can be used as a realistic estimation of the money you can get. And I've heard that it wasn't easy (if not impossible) to buy g300 for £45 at Tesco.

I agree with you. I dont think i would get enough back on my vivacity to pay for a g300 eg. I only paid about £70 for it in the first place. Think cex were offering about £35 to £40 a month or so ago. Also no stock of g300 s in my local Tesco either. What about a Samsung Galaxy Y :)

How is it running and how easy is it to do?

    Does it invalidate the warranty?

To the OP.. is your Desire "rooted"?

If not I would strongly suggest doing that and trying a new ROM.. it will give your phone a new lease of life!

I'd quite like to go down that root. Are there any step by step guides?

Very easy to do just copy file to sd card and ran software update.

Seems to be slightly more responsive but that could be due to new rom and not much installed,
Dictionary had faults where all words underlined (sorted)
TVCatchup doesn't want to work (still working on that one)
Apart from this everything else seems fine.

    Thanks.

Any idea on how it goes with the warranty?
