Huawei G300 a step up from original HTC desire?

i really dont know why people bang on about how fab the g300 is, i purchased one..updated the firmware due to the poor speaker and in my opinion its not that good a phone, the keyboard is shocking VERY unresponsive.....ive actually thrown it in a drawer and started using my old xperia play again
even my eldest kid dosent want it after using it while her tmobile vivacity was playing up...says its rubbish and i agree
waste of money
My daughter (15) is over the moon with the one that I got for her. She previously was using an original Desire, but it was getting laggy and as we know has a poor internal memory, which made installing apps a problem.
The G300 by comparison is quick, and since being flashed with ICS, has no issues with sound volume or app installation etc.
If your phone is indeed problematic, could you not just factory restore it and return it?0 -
Luvvin mine - best phone I've ever had - and i've had loads and spend lots more £'s on themWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0

so after reading all your replies think i will stick with my trusty Desire for now, limited space for apps is main problem but its one i can live with for time being at least my current contract ends March nest year so maybe TWO X or S4 will be out by then.0

i just got g300 and installed ics and battery life is alot better i get nearly 2days with hardly using but if heavy user then you get just about 1day like rest of the phones out there
but desire screen is smaller then g3000 -

I find Easy Battery app (free) a great help in preserving battery life..0 -

I think you may have a dud. Have you thought about taking it back? The bottom 3 keys were pretty unresponsive for me out of the box but the firmware update fixed that 100%. The keys are now as responsive as the ones on the HTC One S I sold. The only time the response became poor was when I put a screen protector on it - took it straight off as it doesn't need one anyway due to the Gorilla glass.

which i replied to on the other thread but decided to add here as i felt it relevant
dont have screen protector fitted done all the factory resets, even rooted and removed the bloat to no avail, in a side by side comparison against my old play theres a notable difference in user experiance and overall quality
the point im making is the g300 isnt the most amazing phone on the market that some of the posts seem to suggest, yes its an alright phone its just not for me,
mine was a gift and as such i feel a little funny about giving it back to be returned0 -

You dont say which desire but I had Desire C on contract and sold it within a month (Ebayed £108) and bought G300 (£68 ish) which is much better, bigger, faster and I'm still spending the change at Costasmithers1981 wrote: ».. limited space for apps is main problem but its one i can live with for time being at least my current contract ends March nest year so maybe TWO X or S4 will be out by then.
For £65 I wouldn't wait one month - oh yea - already said that)
Even in 3 months Huawei are going to give HTC a run for the money - you're going to have to move up to Samsung, Iphone if you want to move upWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
