Don't you think that it's a bit odd that some of the people posting to this thread are following the seller around ebay with such zeal, and making such outlandish allegations of fraud and suchlike?

Nope- this is the consumer vent board. So consumers are venting.

If the company is so upset then they can post here. Some companies mentioned in other threads or their employees have posted answers/comments on those threads. So you don't have to protect them.

Of course if you have any interest in the company concerned you can answer questions for them. :)
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

Olly, just ignore him, responding to his posts is what he wants.

Do you always ignore the voice of reason?
    The money, Dave...
  • I have always wondered why she only buys one or two items of makeup and from the states. By the time she adds postage cost she does not make much money at all.

Sometimes Paypal will deduct the payment you have received because the credit card details are not authorised to the buyer.
This would explain alot of what she has been doing over several months.

So in fact she is 'making' money because she is using 'stolen' credit card details to purchase her makeup and then makes more money 'selling' the makeup but not always posting it!

It looks like Ebay have restricted her account at the moment as she is unable to list items for sale. Perhaps at last Paypal are watching her.

This is looking more like CREDIT CARD fraud!

For those of you that can't open the page here is the feedback left about our 'friend': 'Don't deal w/ this liar if you value honesty on ebay! Paypal warned me about her'
And: 'BEWARE of SCAM! This person charged back right after the items were shipped!'

Sorry but i would be very surprised if Paypal did warn her about this seller, it is not in their interests to do so.

Can someone explain the charged back bit please, that has totally lost me.

Also do make sure you have concrete evidence regarding this or it will be thrown out and the police won't even want to be bothered dealing with it if you are not thorough with your evidence, but i wish you luck with it.

You seem obsessed with this ebay seller...

Why can't you contact the seller?

Actually this is a valid point, is there a reason why someone else has to contact the buyer? This confuses me
  • Chargeback

You sell item and receive payment.
    You post item.
Few hours later Paypal cancel payment due to unauthorised activity concerning the Paypal account.
    Hope that helps.

Thank you, so its the buyer who does the charge back because they haven't received the item?
  • No not always.

The buyer only requets a refund if the item fails to arrive. You can only request refund after a period of time.

Paypal can deduct payment without warning from the sellers account if the buyer has used unauthorised means of payment. It is often deducted after 24 hours and often after the seller has sent goods.
So the seller loses out. No goods and no money!

Because I have obviously reached some kind of limit with eBay, as I have contacted lots of the people who have left her negative feedback. Now when I try and contact a person and it's not about a specific item they're selling I can't.
