just had a thought - is it worth posting something on the ebay board linking to this thread? it appears ebay is quite involved in the scam and it may be more widely read on there by people who would use online stores?:happyhear0

It's a really great idea, but I'm not sure you can name and shame on the eBay forum. When I complained about her (I won an auction a couple of months back, paid - via PayPal - and never received my item. I posted a thread asking what to do) I was told that you can't name and shame.
I could be wrong, someone correct me if they know for sure.0 -
you can't name and shame officially but you can point people to look at your profile and people can work out for themselves who the seller is. I think you can also post auction numbers for people to advise on
might be worth posting on the ebay boards here too, a lot of posters there also post on the ebay community boards.0 -

staywellclear! wrote: »Hi there,
Thankyou for your email, My experience with jammydodger was, i bid and won the item, i had overlooked her payment method which was credit card only, immediately i emailed her and apologised, that i had made a mistake and not noticed her payment method, no way did i refuse to pay, i am an excellent payer, read my feedback, i told her that i dont give my credit card details, only to paypal, and if she would accept paypal i would give her the payment straight away, she came back with this horrible attitude saying she did not accept paypal and her account had been hyjacked, and that it was not her fault and if i didnt pay with my credit card, she would report me, i got on to paypal and they advised me not to pay her that way, only by paypal, i said she was threatning to report me to ebay and give me back feedback, paypal said, isnt it better to have a bad feedback than be ripped off! by giving my credit card details. So i emailed her and said this and told her to do what she liked, but she aint getting my details. She reported me and i have a strike for non payment of ebay, i have emailed her to try and resolve this by offering other payment methods, she ignores me and that is rude, she say i am rude, no way! I have tried every payment method possible, even cash in a recorded envelope, and all she did was ignore me.
Many thanks.
That says to me that paypal are fully aware of what this seller is doing. What does anyone else feel?0 -
