relish in people being shocked in their shoddy standards?0

no by virtue of those emails and the aggression and lies it would be an easy company for them to target & probably the kind of thing that people would like to be informed about, therefore I imagine that they would relish publicising this company's tactics to the general public - isn't that the whole point of watchdog?nothing to see here, move along...0

ah right, sorry0

Just wanted to say to Feesh - well done for telling everyone about these nasty bullying (not to mention mentally challenged) thugs.
The instant (and unwarranted) aggression towards you obviously stems from the fact that many people have obviously complained to their site before now!
Don't worry about their threats - as many people have pointed out, they are talking rubbish.
Hmm, I had a nosy at their site - wonder if I am now being tracked by the dalek police? rofl!

the site that the OP mentioned doesn't seem to be the only unsecured site.. i just checked beauty counter direct (they are always offering free things) and their site doesn't have the padlock nor the https either...0

Is this site related? I have noticed our dear friend from BeautyP in other forums providing links to other sites, not just BeautyP.....
ETA not related, I just checked!0 -
Well if they are related to other sites I'd like to know as I buy quite a lot of beauty products over the net from various sites, its quite concerningThanx

Well https://www.b-e-s-t-b-e-a-u-t-y.co.uk (without the dashes) was another one they were spamming some forums with but at the moment that just redirects to beautyp-a-r-l-o-r.co.uk
think one reason that you may not be able to type the site names here is that they may have spammed mse forums in the past and then the forums admin banned those names to stop them doing it?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Good on you for posting all of this up. Those emails they sent were a disgrace, and you are right to share them. Their threats are laughable, but also sad as I expect other customers could also have been distressed by them.
Regarding 'taking legal action' against you, if they did, you would easily get lots of media attention and it would be suicide for their company with your emails and other people's contacts now out and about on the web. If the idiots running this company have a half a brain, they'll stop doing this so that forums like these run out of horror stories. If they keep doing it they'll get what they deserve.
Actually, that last one that was posted about the electronic police is so hilarious, it would make a good 'funny' to do the rounds via email as an example of the worst service in the country. Those fly round email systems like the plague!
Did they include a privacy notice on the email? For everything else, there's MSE :T0 -

Nope, I cut and pasted all the emails in their entirety.
I don't know if its THAT funny though.
And I don't think Watchdog would be interested either to be honest.
At the end of the day, its not much of a story as nobody got ripped off.
I was originally upset and hence posted on here as a vent, but then it moved into anger/wanting to do something, when I realised that at the very least, they could be inadvertently sending or storing customers' credit card details by unsecured means. Or, at the very worst, there's some sort of scam going on....
My OH has done some digging and found her trading on Ebay and asking people to pay through the BP website. Also, Ebay appears to be where she gets most of her stock from. I can't verify this, as I haven't looked myself yet - this is just what OH told me the other night.
But now they have supposedly updated their site to make it more secure, I'm happy. I will only become unhappy again if I ever find that nasty woman up to anything else on the internet. But for now, this thread can die as I think I've done what I can.0
