    Hi Fkelanne,

Yes you can recommend friends - it doesn't matter that you were recommended yourself. The RAF amount at the moment is £30 each so if you have any friends who are opening an account you can refer them and you can both get £30.

    Regards

It was up until the 30th of April but was reduced to £30 effective from the 1st of May I'm afraid.

How long does the money usually take to go into your account, i set up the account myself but then spoke to a friend who had opened an account and used his details, sent form in about a week ago.

    Cheers!

Can I remind everyone that touting/requesting refer a friend offers is not allowed on this board and any such discussion should take place on the referrals board.

    Hi Tom188,

I hope you haven't misunderstood the last few posts on this thread and directed your above post at my offering to email people the £50 pdf voucher which is still valid for anyone who has opened their account in April. If so I'd like to make it clear that I have in no way made any offer to refer these people myself only to email them the voucher so they can use it to get referred by their friends as it is no longer available on the website. This is not touting for referrals but simply helping someone out.

In actual fact the reason the OP of this thread changed his post to read "sorry wrong forum" is because I quietly pointed out to him that such a request should not be made on this board but solely on the referrers board - I did so quietly because he was a newbie but if you read over this thread fully you'll see that I have pointed it out publicly as well. In normal circumstances I would be thanking you for posting what you have above as I entirely agree with it and it is against the rules of MSE to either offer referrals or ask for them on any other board than the referrers board.

Personally I would prefer it if this thread was allowed to quietly move down the forum as the title of it encourages people to come on it and offer referrals or ask for them but when people have come on it with other questions about how the scheme itself works or about how to get a hold of the vouchers so their friend can refer them independent of MSE I felt I should answer them.

Sorry if you were only responding to the title of the thread as you've not seen it before (it's been hanging around the board for weeks though!) but I just wanted to make that clear.

    Regards

    Michelle

They should pay out within 8 weeks of either the voucher being sent in or your funding your account as per the £500 p/m funding requirement. It is usually paid out quicker than this though but 8 weeks is the maximum time it should take.

Not directed at anyone, just time and time again this type of thread ends up with countless posts from people wanting to be referred and people breaking forum rules and a gentle reminder is needed. Personally I think this has been one of the most constructive for a while and I agree this thread should die now unless there is anything else to add.
