Hello Tim.
I recently came across some memory foam mattresses by Body Impressions/Sleep Secrets which are quite competitively priced. Can you shed some light on this manufacturer? Their products are not widely stocked and seem to be available mainly on the internet. Are they any good? Will appreciate your comments.0 -

I've had a look at a few sites selling the mattresses. The only probem I can find with them is that the memory foam is quite low density (48kg/m3). If the density is too low then you won't get very good support. The minimum you should look for is 55kg/m3, although around 65kg/m3 is supposed to be the best.0 -
Hello Tim
Thanks for the feedback. Will keep the info about density in mind. They seem to be cheaper than others and probably that is the reason why. Anyway thanks again.0 -
I brought my son a memory foam matress from dreams, it is in a roll and you just roll it out and leave for 5 mins and its the size of a normal matress. Me and my husband tried it 1 night and we brought one the next day as did my father in law and mother in law (sleep in separate beds) They were only £200 and they are the best thing I have ever brought. Both my husband and me had bad backs before and problems sleeping but those days are long gone. Dreams did try to sell us and £850 matress but we went for the cheaper one and dont regret it at all I would highly recommended these matresses there great.0

What was the make and model. I can't find a memory foam mattress on the dreams web site for £200?0 -
Our mattress (king size) was just becoming a bit tired (conventional sprung) and didn't know if afoam/memory foam mattress would be comfortable or not so we bought a memory foam topper from Argos (about £80 if I remember) a never looked back. The topper is about 2 inches thick and is encased in a zip-off washable warm cover. It just sits on top of the original mattress and is held by elastic straps at each corner. We were that impressed we bought another one for our motorhome, a double this time. Instead of using a bottom sheet we found that a single quilt cover is exactly the right size for encasing the topper.0

Toppers are a very good cheaper alternative to buying a complete mattress. However they shouldn't be used to try and revive an old worn out mattress. It might be worth you getting a cheaper new mattress to use under the topper.0 -
The mattress is dreams own brand, the mattress that he showed us for £850 contains the same materials (Visco) as there own brand. I dont think they advertise them on there web site they are in-store only, dont know why but i no they still have them. they normally have one out on a bed so that you can try before you buy. I would recommend a trip down to your nearest store and just ask for the mattress that is in a roll. (this is not a matress topper but a proper matress) My parents got one the weekend as they said it was really comfy when they stayed over at our house. I have just looked at the label on the matress and it says Dreams readymatt visco. They do 2 types in this matress make sure you try the visco not the other one, Apparently the Visco is much better and it is what is in the dearer matresses.
hope this helps0 -

Did you say it was £200 for a single mattress??
If so, then before you buy any more, they also sell pocket sprung with memory foam for £200 (a much better mattress for the same money).0 -
It was £200 for a double, I have already purchased this matress, I was advised not to have the pocket sprung with memory foam, I was told that just the foam are better. I have purchased 2 of these matresses and I am very happy with both the quality and the matress itself. Members of my fmily have also purchased these matresses and they have no complaint either so I suppose its down to personnal choice.0
