    Hi Tim,

Agreed! I realize that a one sided mattress, will considerably shorten the life of a mattress, and the 'benefit' of a non-turn matttress is more of a sales gimmick (only from reading your posts!)

What about a one sided mattress pocket sprung memory foam mattress that meets your memmory foam density and depth expectations?

Again, only to get a feel for what else there is on the market?

To be honest, I just take a look at the spec for mattresses when I am asked for my opinion on them. Also I will sometimes know a bit about them from previous experience.

    Hi.

I would be very interested to hear from you once you receive the mattress. I'm not saying that for £55 you haven't got a bargain, but I' say that the RRP of £399 stated on the site is more than 4x the actual value.

I did a little digging because I haven't heard of that model mattress, and it appears that isn't made by Dreamworld Beds, and it isn't made by Sleepeazy either. If you zoom right in on the picture you can see that it is actually made by Sleepeazzy who are a Chinese company. Some of you will know that I have warned about low quality Chinese imports that have been flooding the market.

Another thing that is untrue about the ebay listing is that it states that the mattres is made from 8" deep memory foam. Well anyone who has been reading any of the threads regarding memory foam mattresses will know that the memory foam should be between 2" and 2.5". But if you zoom in on the box you will see that it says '8" (20cm) thick king size mattress with high density memory foam and HR foam with soft cover'. The HR foam is basically reflex foam as you would expect under the memory foam.

After reading the sellers feedback, and noticing the Aberdeen tape on the box (the seller is in Manchester), I would check the mattress very carefully when it arrives to make sure that it isn't a second or a returned used item.

Hi Tim. My mother has severe arthritis in her back and needs a memory foam mattress. She has seen a Kaymed 5000 plus single mattress for £799 and feels this would be the best bet. The pillow is £60. Do you know of anywhere we can get these for a better price?
    TIA
