I read the Daily Mail and they have definitely pinched the month without a supermarket idea from here!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

churchmouse... yep i have to agree about the washing mating in the basket... but socks go in the machine in pairs.. but they must have a row cos they always come out in singles.. where do they go !!!!! ??????
How true AMIE:rotfl: And the first person to resolve that dilemma will never have to work again!!:D
Well we didn't get DS a car, but his Dad is going somewhere different with him tomorrow, and let's be honest, he does know a good deal more about cars than me.;)
Smokybabe glad they seem to have some idea of what's wrong. (((Hugs)))) to you and DH.
My poor addled brain can't remember much else, oh yes except Pen-Pen, didn't I say weeks ago your OS friends would want to sponsor you:p

See you tomorrow, CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
evening all - i've not been here for a day or two and missed so much ..... like MOGGINS! WHAT JOB? well done you. It's a real pity for dd - I know mine broke her heart but said that she had felt it coming - bless she was only six at the time. Now it's like he never left cos he's here more often than not (sigh!) In fact he is sitting on MY sofa right now scoffing at Man U result in his BOXERS! - tempted - not!!!!!!
Anyhoo had a tricky couple of days at work with union meetings and such like followed by school meetings. I am on the commitee that runs the after school and breakfast clubs which means that I am technically an employer and must sort out scary things like contracts and stakeholder pensions - yoiks!
Have given away all my stardrops (please let me stay!) - It was making me wheeze and cough (i think i was o'ding on the stuff) so I've been using spray bottle with water, dash of ecover w/up liquid and generous amounts of lavender oil which seems just as effective (almost) and definitely kinder on the lungs which need to be in tip top condition to cope with my daily breakfast of fag/coffee/fag/coffee - repeat till feeling halfway human.
Because of all the meetings this week I have not cooked at all and treated middle dd, little dd, dgs and myself to a meal out to celebrate the end of term - well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
back on track tomorrow though. youngest dd has her school holiday cob on already and I have a half day tomorrow and a lovely long weekend - yay! i have celebrated by doing loads of housework while listening to a supergrass cd at top pelt and entertaining/annoying dd with a singanddancealong - don't you just hate it when the band sing the words all wrong - have a good rest of the evening I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
What a busy day! Lots of budding romances and I love Smoky`s pictures- keep it coming!
Finally summed up courage to ring up Amicus to see if I`d been shortlisted for a job seeing it was 6 weeks after the closing date. Sadly the answer was no but at least I know and can stop fantisizing about the high salary and writing my resignation letter!
DS16 has got a letter from Xfactor!!!!!!!!!!! and his ` slot` is in 3 weeks time. So if he gets anywhere with the audition( couldnt think of the word , having a `senior` moment`) then I`ll tell you who he is so you can vote for him! Just a tad biased! It made up for still not hearing from Waitrose for his parttime job even tho` the interview was last Friday! Apparently when I persuaded him to ring up , Personnel said the person who interviewed him had gone off as her daughter was in labour but now we reckon she is probably back and we still havent heard..................
Off to bed sooooooon!

It's such a lovely day today. Been sunbaking after lunch. I rolled up my jeans & put on a t-shirt. DD rang this morning. We only managed to talk for 3 hours.
Also got a email from OS. It's so hot up in the mines that they have to take 3 sets of work clothes into work and change. They sweat so much. Sooooooooo glad I'm not doing his washing.
Found a couple of books at the Good as New. Not ones that I was looking for. DH bought a *best of* the 70's for 40p.
Aunty J not doing really well atm. Everyone has gone up to see her this arv so will know more when they get back.
CCStar I was in Perth yesterday. It was me coming out the hairdresser's looking gorgeous.
Shame I had to sleep on it. Bird's nest springs to mind.

Hi to all the new posters! They're a lovely bunch here, like an extended family of very clever people...
Seem to be missing MATH's incisive commenting, has he gone off to his cottage? I've lost track of the time!
Ohhhhh, did anyone see the article in the Daily Mail on not using a supermarket for a month? Will post the link into the thread if I can find it. Sure they stole our idea... (grumbles under breath)
Loads of love and hugs on this rather lovely spring day!

Good Afternoon All
Hope we are well
Ive just finished work, and the glorious sun is shining. Will get some washing on the go soon. First thing 1st, fag & a cuppa!
I was getting in the car this morning to go to work, and I felt my muscle in my lower back go into spasms (again), Ive been in agony all day. Ive rung the doctor's and Im waiting for the Doc on call to ring me back, and hopefully prescribe me some more pain killers! Ive been pain free for a few months now, I just hope it doesn't fully go!
I drove past the park this morning, on our road, and there has been a car abandoned for a few wks now, and saw it got burnt out during the night and dumped on the park. The local councillor was there, and said they was waiting for the police to come out! I presume its been removed as I cant see it now. Little toe rags!
penelope penguin good luck with the race. I would like to sponsor you, but Ive allready sponsored my cousin & 2 friends who will be taking part themselves! Just wanted to say sorry,
(((hugs pink-winged hope things get better soon! My kids no better not to ask for ice-cream from the van. I used to tell them it was the mobile butchers. But their grandad spoilt it buy actually buying them one oneday!
(((hugs))) haribojunkie hope your head's better
scuzz well done! :j lets hope bf proves to be bf material.
