    Hi everyone!

Internet connection been off for a couple of days, sort of caught up last night when I got it back.

Happy Birthday to Paulie's Girl and JamieDodger!!!:bdaycake: :bdaycake:

Welcome back AMIE :j :j :j So glad you've decided to ignore all that silliness:D :D

Welcome to vik and Emmy, hope you'll like it here!

kyle hope the knee is getting better. Wish there was something we could do to get you some sleep. Rubber mallet perhaps? ( Now would that be for you or LO;) ) Just don't try doing too much. That knee needs rest and elevation. Listen to twink, she really does know best!!:D :D

Well having taken this long, I'm know pushed for time. Not a lot of OS on the menu for today. Taking DS to look at some cars. He desperately needs one , 3 hours travelling (minimum) on top of a 12 hour shift makes for unbearable workdays and nights. He just works and sleeps on those days. With a car the journey time in total would be no more than 80 minutes. Fingers crossed they've got a real bargain:D

Other than that, just the normal washing and ironing to do (again!!!!!). Why does it breed in the washing basket:rotfl: Don't know about sorting lights and darks, I'm going to try to keep the sexes apart!!!

Hugs to all that want them.

    CMxx

Edited to add huge (((((hugs)))))) to Pink and Haribo. Kids, don't you just love them:rotfl: :D :rotfl:
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

:T :T Hi Amie - so good to see you back! Would love your recipe for Weetabix brownies! Happy birthday to Jamiedodger and Paulie'sgirl! Weather here is lovely - at the moment. Have prepped dinner for tonight. Butchers own sweet chilli sausages with baked pots (pricked with a fork and olive oil rubbed into the skins - delicious) and whatever I decide for veg. Yesterday's left-over stewed plums whizzed into some greek yoghurt and poured over some on-their-last-legs grapes and kiwis. Have just washed the kitchen floor with vinegar - looks brilliant but, as I decided to give it a treat and clean it on my hands and knees instead of using the mop, I'm a bit puffed! Washing on the line - I love it when you can dry it outside - quite a treat for this time of year. Have visitors over the weekend so will be having a good clear up tomorrow and, later today, will plan the meals - Lemon Chicken comes to mind for one! Cleaned my fridges yesterday with bicarb and keep showing them off to everyone! Haven't used any brand-name cleaning products except, of course, the heroic Stardrops, for cleaning this week. Have bicarb and white vinegar in the bathroom as well as under the sink. Used some bleach down the loo but will buy a big bottle of coke for that in the future as I've heard it's just as good. Have some paperwork to do and check up on surveys. My biggest achievement this week - reclaimed back my DS2's unfair charges from Nat West - £356.00! As usual, though, whenever you get a windfall you also get a bill spend it on and he's using it for his car insurance! Just waiting for my own claims to materialise! DS1 has just phoned and GDS and GDD want to come round after they've been to the library so will have a lively couple of hours with them. At the moment, they're fascinated by the tadpoles in my pond. We have thousands because - about a month ago - there was a mass orgy of about 30 pairs of frogs having non-stop sex which went on day and night for about five days! And you could hear them - especially at night! Aanyway, I hope everyone has the good weather we have here and that you all have a great day. Will look in later. Once again, great to see you back, Amie!!

    Just popped back to say:

Penny-Pincher!! is having a lovely holiday in the middle of nowhere. She is being as OS as ever... she's been to a bootsale and her OH has discovered that Stardrops are great for washing the car :D

    Also:

Happy Birthday JAMIEDODGER and Paulie'sGirl :bdaycake:

    Welcome vix and Emmy :hello:

    Hugs (((((Pink-winged)))))

moggins - £50 may sound like a lot for clothes when you're not used to spending money on yourself, but believe me, it won't go all that far if what you're looking for is smart office wear. Not sure how your lone parent grant works, but I'm guessing you need to buy from somewhere that will give you a receipt, which rules out ebay, jumble sales etc  ... I reckon Primark is probably a good place to start. Top tip: buy trousers instead of a skirt, because in the long run you will save a fortune on tights! And if you have a Clarks factory shop near you, that's probably a good source of decent quality cheap smart shoes. PS. I'm sure DD will be fine given a bit of time.

Right, must be off now. Got into the office for 8:30 and the person I was supposed to be having the early meeting with didn't get in until 9:30

    See you later
    Rzl xx

Edit: ((((hugs)))) to HariboJunkie as well. Sorry but I couldn't help but :rotfl: at the blackbird story :o

    Morning everyone :hello:

Welcome to vik6525 and Emmy

    Welcome back to Amie

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to Paulies Girl and Jamiedodger :bdaycake:

(((hugs))) to all those that need them.

Well, my plans for the day have gone completely up the spout. I brought my breakfast upstairs so that I could quickly post on MSE and before I got onto that, a friend sent me an MSN message, so for the last hour I've been catching up with her. :o It was nice to hear all her news, but it has sent my timing flying!

Luckily, dinner is already out of the freezer for this evening. It's my last portion of chilli con carne, so that I can cook a new batch next week. I need to do a Mr T shop too, just for some basics and check out their 20% off clothing sale.

DH and I have also realised that it's prohibitively expensive to take our car and the ferry over to Brittany in August, so we're flying instead. Good old rubber-band airways (Ryanair) :p and hire car courtesy of spending far too much money in Mr T's. So, I've got to sort out hire car too.

So, to do (this will scare me when it is all written down):
    Have shower :o
    Sort hire car
    Mr T's shopping
    Ironing
    Washing
    Planning for my new school
Use up over-ripe bananas for muffins or banana loaf (haven't quite decided yet).
 I'd better go and start on the above!

    :hello: Morning all:hello:

Back at the apartment, OH has gone off on an errand.....this afternoon I have more stuff to go to the charity shop including a new down and feather 13.5tog quilt, I bought it 2 years ago and we could not sleep under it, just too warm for us, grieves me, but I have had it on ebay and also in the paper, but not luck......

Hoovered the carpets and have fitted a spare piece in the big cupboard in the hall............still have a lot of paint to clear off switches etc and we need to move a cupboard from the kitchen, I am planning on putting 4 of the cupboards from the other house in there.

Have heard no more from SS or agents after I sent them a letter saying that they were subjecting us to what amounted to harrassment, and if it did not stop I would take the appropriate legal action. Much against my better judgement I also sent them a post dated cheque for the rent.......it looks like we are going to have to leave the carpets, I cannot find anyone who wants them, although I might try freecycle for the biggest one in the front bedroom.

Trying to wind down a bit, I have strained my muscles moving stuff......I want to bring a light book case ver which we will do tonight, we are spending most of the day here and just going home to sleep....the big TV is here.

Right I am off for a coffee.................see ya.................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
