Hi everyone,
A bit late posting today. Was sooo tired this morning, havent a clue what is the matter with me these days, I just want to lie in my bed all day and sleep.
Beautiful day here so, after all the household chores have been done, I took the kids a long walk, and treated them to ice cream (would have been cheape to stay at home since there is ice cream in the freezer Oh well).
Im convinced Lo has lost all his good nature since he turned 2 on Monday, he has been a really angry little boy, and my goodness the temper tantrums I have been getting:eek: The naughty step has been used a few good times today.
Oh well, must move now to prepare OH's dinner.
Hope everyone had a lovely day, and enjoys the rest of the night.

Well what started out as a good day went badly wrong when I got back to the house at lunch time found a letter telling us telling us that they had stopped our housing benefit 'because we had told them we were moving'......I rang and after waiting 25 minutes got an idiot of a girl who could not understand that a) we are still living at our old address b) we signed the tenancy agreement for the apartment on 2nd April and have paid the rent c) we are not moving out of our old address until 11th April and will move into the apartment on that day and d) we are now under the sheltered housing department of the City council.......I lost my rag and handed the phone to OH......they wanted 3 months bank statements, sorry we do not get statements, all our banking is done on the internet......we do not have confirmation that we are moving on 11th from our present landlord, you should have the info re the tenancy your officer is delaing with it..................I have come to the conclusion that they employ idiots.....we now have to make a journey into town tomorrow to see them and give them all the info we have, and very generously they will accept downloaded statements from the internet....how gracious of them, if they think I was paying £15 for 3 months statements they have another think coming.................I spent the afternoon either in a raging temper or crying with frustration.
I then had an idiot at our insurance company asking me if the apartment had ever flooded...pass.........was there an alarm.... well its a closed community, you can only get in if you have a PAC key and was there a smoke alarm, well not only do we hae a smoke alarm we also have a fire alarm which they tested this morning and frightened me to death......this is a local authority property and as such has to meet legal criteria, it is also registered with the RIB.........GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......
I have to print off 3 months statements now, the odd job man is coming tomorrow to do the doors....and to quote for a couple of other jobs we need doing.................
At last I have just had a call from Virgin BT have handed over the phone, so we are back to normal, or almost.............right got that off my chest, I am off to drink my tea and print off my statements. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hello everyone,
absolutely gorgeous weather here today: was a bit chilly in the morning (had some ice on the windscreen) but by the afternoon it was so warm! the amount of people down on the beach as I drove past this afternoon was incredible
I hope the weather stays like this over the weekend: got a 4 day weekend ahead of me :j
Was a short working day today - I had an appointment this morning so was later in, then had my early day so finished at 3:45pm. Got to asda (which was packed as the kids are on their easter holidays) so managed to pick up a few things for the next couple of days, with a view to doing the main shop on friday when I'm off work. Made a very nice chicken curry for tea (which I ate too much of)
and will shortly be making a cuppa
Got various OS plans for the weekend, so we shall see how much actually gets done
Amie - good to see you back
moggins - so pleased to hear about the job! Hope your DS will be fine *hugs*
Happy birthday to all the birthday people today!
Smokey - glad to hear they've found what is wrong with your DH - hope he feels better soon
Hello to all the newbies
*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please.0 -
Another ex member of the Tufty club here, have been watching the vids of it on YouTube!
Back again and am feeling slightly better, will try and go out tomorrow, woo!
I have been gazing at the MR BM on their site, it is such a bargain but I really don't know if I can afford it this month, I guess bills come first eh?
Welcome to all the newbies, they are all such lovely people on here!
scuzz that is so fab, am really happy for you and your bf!
amie, glad to see you back
smoky I'm glad they have found out what is wrong with your DH
Have lots of hugs ready if anyone needs/wants them!
Dpup is chomping away on a great whites ear, he loves them! He prefers pigs ears but the great whites ears were on special so he has a few to chomp through before i buy him any more things!
Have to sort the DW amd WM out soon, and then am going to have dinner (when OH finally wakes up... am debating sending Dpup in to wake him!) amd then a lovely bath! Not sure what we will watch tonight, OH bought a Family Guy box set so we have been working through that today
Have popped the Gypsy Tart in the fridge in a hope that it sets, I don't think I whipped the filling for long enough, next time i'll do it for another 5 mins for sure!

Thank you for a really warm welcome.
Everyone is sooooo busy!!!!
After a great day at work I am sitting down with a nice mug of hot water (don't drink tea/coffee) and it is lovely.
I am checking out on line what plants I can buy tomorrow that are suitable for my garden (bit damp and dark in the area I am trying to brighten up)..... more work but should be lovely
Take care everyone

Good evening everyone,
Welcome to all the newbies, hope you will enjoy being here!!!
Had quite a nice day - DDs speach therapy went really well and hopefully we will only need one more appointment.
All the children behaved and things were going really well, until some idiot up the road lit a bonfire!!!! Had to get them all in, and pick the 2 loads of washing in off my line. Luckily it was almost dry, and i got it in quick enough so its not smelling, however i now stink, and i can still smell the smoke now. Some people are so inconsiderate, and it upset LO as i couldnt let her go back out into the garden, the older ones are able to go out the front, but LO cant which is a shame, but we had a nice cuddle and watched countdown and deal or no deal together (well, countdown helps with her letters and numbers!!!).
Once everyone had gone we then had a mad race to get into Plymouth, as i wanted to go into Argos - i made it with about 5 minutes to spare (it closed at 5.30!!!) It was then onto a very unOS McDonalds, then Asda to get a duck for Easter, and Tescos to do my weekly shop. Didnt get many bargains, but did pick up 3 ready meals (another non OS thing) but they were 28p each, and will do for emergencies.
We are now home, DD and DS have both had a shower, and are ready for bed, and im about to get in the shower myself - i really need to get rid of this horrid smoke smell!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening - im putting off my shower a minute, just found James Martin on BBC2 - hes cooking puds, yum!!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
