AMIE, welcome back, you have been missed.:T :T :T :T

I got in about a half an hour ago from taking the two eldest off to playschool and then on to the hosi. LO isn't too clever today and so he came with me. OH was made up to see him anyway.:D

We finally got some sense out of his doctor and he thinks that the root of all the problems is the valve that is faulty and they are waiting for the surgeon to decide the next move, so another echo and then a decision whether or not to transfer him for surgery. He is stable at the moment but I understand that he has been lucky that the situation has been resolved, three times now. However there are no guarantees with the new medication and the doctor treating him feels that given his symptoms there is now a case for a valve replacement. Anyway that is today's opinion!!!!!! It's like a flaming rollercoaster while they make up their minds.

Os wise, nothing to report:rolleyes: the house is untidy at the mo - until I've had this coffee anyway, Pizza for tea and I may have enough washing later when they have undressed. It's a beautiful day and I have no washing to hang on the line.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:hello: Afternoon everyone, I've not had a chance to read the whole thread, so welcome Hilary and other new posters.

Lovely day today in Worcester, must hang up the washing that's been sitting in the machine for most of the day.

Just finished a baking session : 4 white loaves, 16 sultana scones, 32 oat rounds (biscuits). I had planned pizza for supper, but I can't face anymore FLOUR  :rotfl: So, I'm defrosting some sliced ham to have with baked spuds and salad.

    Afternoon all

    Hello to all newbies.

Happy Birthday Jamiedodger & Pauliesgirl - hope you are both having lovely days.

    Welcome back Aimee

Lovely and sunny here today but a little cold. Luckily sunshine is keepin me upbeat even though have found out that I wont have my dishwasher, sink or cooker in working order tonight. Was really looking forward to hm dinner. Once again they hit a couple of problems - oh well I know it will be worth it in the end.

Today I have done - taken kids and puppy to park for an hour. One load of washing done and on line. Gigantic pile of ironing completed. DS & DD's bedrooms tidied. Im just on here going to order some new school shirts for both the children, will then put ironing away, change my bedding and tidy playroom. Then I guess will have to work out what to have for dinner.

    Best get on.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

    Hello again,

Well back from our travels - Runnymede was soooooo cold, kids enjoyed it though although the bouncy castle etc wasn't up yet so DD was a little disappointed (I wasn't complaining though at a pound a go).;) Did our shopping, looked for some shoes for DD but no luck and have just finished a very late lunch of toasted sandwiches.

Vickie - When our new bathroom was put in last year DS was told he has to sit down as I was so sick of poor aim, nephews too do it here. At school etc they stand up though.

Dannahaz - funnily enough my (would have been) godfather's name is on the Airforce Memorial and many years ago I dragged DH (or BF as he was then up there) to find it, it was very moving when we did particulalry as DH was in the forces at the time. I never met him as I was born long after the war but he and my godmother were married only briefly before he was killed in action. She never remarried, he was the love of her life. I must go there again, thank you for reminding me.

AMIE - I can't believe your granddad had stalls on the North End Road!! He probably served my mum whilst I was just a nipper in a buggy!!

Am a bit concerned as our freezer doesn't seem to be working properly (just what you need after you've done the weekly shop) I am defrosting it although there doesn't seem to be any "frost" in it but worth a try. We had the same problem with it last year but luckily we had a poilcy for it then. Funnily enough Comet didn't contact us to ask if we wnated to continue the policy when it ran out last October!! Usually I swear by Bosch or AEG but they didn't have anything in the width we needed and now we're really paying the price for buying something else. Fingers crossed it'll be okay.

Right think my seedlings are calling. I still haven't got my greenhouse, must do it tomorrow. Have a lovely day all.

    HIya,

It's such a lovely day today. Been sunbaking after lunch. I rolled up my jeans & put on a t-shirt. DD rang this morning. We only managed to talk for 3 hours. :D Also got a email from OS. It's so hot up in the mines that they have to take 3 sets of work clothes into work and change. They sweat so much. Sooooooooo glad I'm not doing his washing. :D

Found a couple of books at the Good as New. Not ones that I was looking for. DH bought a *best of* the 70's for 40p. :p Aunty J not doing really well atm. Everyone has gone up to see her this arv so will know more when they get back.

CCStar I was in Perth yesterday. It was me coming out the hairdresser's looking gorgeous. :D Shame I had to sleep on it. Bird's nest springs to mind.

Pink It gets worse before it gets better. :A

    Welcome Hilary

Well off to bring the washing in. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Scuzz - whoooo hooo!! BF??? Excellent news (see, came right in the end!)

Hi to all the new posters! They're a lovely bunch here, like an extended family of very clever people...

Seem to be missing MATH's incisive commenting, has he gone off to his cottage? I've lost track of the time!

Ohhhhh, did anyone see the article in the Daily Mail on not using a supermarket for a month? Will post the link into the thread if I can find it. Sure they stole our idea... (grumbles under breath)

Loads of love and hugs on this rather lovely spring day!

    Afternoon all
managed to get some new nets for all 3 upstairs windows 8.1 meters for £18.55 which I thought was pretty good
spring cleaned the whole of upstairs except for the boys room I just wasn't feeling brave enough
best friend phoned she switched the wrong gas ring on and the chip pan was the one she turned on so she's had a visit from the very nice firemen but it has caused quite a bit of damage but everyones ok so thats the main thing and most of the damage was just to the kitchen and a bit of smoke damage to other areas
Welcome to hilary and any other new people today
    best get on
