    Morning all

I can't believe how happy I feel this morning! Life is looking so good for me and the kids and I can't wait until Saturday when he is finally gone. He's working tonight and I got him out of bed to fix the tv this morning as something is very strange with all the Virgin channels. :rotfl:I will have to phone them this morning!

He finally told DD that he was leaving last night, he got shirty with me as he felt I should be telling her, why should I? He's the one that's walking out on us! She tried to be so brave but finally broke her heart crying, it made me so mad I could have buried him under the patio, I had to go out for a ciggie before I punched him for what he's doing to her. I don't give a monkeys about him anymore but she still loves her daddy. Luckily all my friends are stepping in on Saturday to give her the best day ever. She's going to the movies and a birthday party and we are just going to show her that life is still going to be great.

Nothing much planned for today but the lone parent adviser has told me I can go and spend up to £50 for new work clothes and they will reimburse me so I may go and have a shop fest :D

Oh big big (((((hugs))))) to you.... but do go on that shopping spree... When I went back to work last september, they gave me money to spend on clothes too (£100!) but i honestly couldt spend it! Ive never spent that much on myself before, and it was very very weird...
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

    welcome vic6525 & emmy

(((hugs))) moggins hope DD copes with the news!

kyle & mrs-mix hope you both are feeling better

Well, despite being completely knackered yesterday, my sleep pattern is still rubbish. Im still waking up every hour(ish) every night for the last couple of months. I cant cope no more! Ive brought some Lavender essential oil,(to sprinkle in my room) and have a lavender bubble bath each night, but does not make any difference (can you over dose on Lavender)

Work this morning, (really cant be bothered).
Was going to do sausage casserole for dinner, but forgot to take Sausage out the freezer.

DD told me last night that the police came to see her yesterday whilst I was work, babysitter forgot to tell me! I rang them (not very happy) and stated that I informed them not to come until after 3pm. They asked DD what had happened, but some ?'s she could not answer, so there due to come again later! It only took them 6days!

Right off for a shower now
    Have a great day all
    Take care
    Love Emma xxx

I've already posted this morning, but I just had to come back to say well done Moggins :T :T :T It must be heartbreaking to see your DD so upset, but I'm sure you'll do all you can to make things easier for her.
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Morning Everyone :hello:

Congratulations to Moggins on your new job and welcome to the newbies.

I really enjoyed the Mr Bean film yesterday even though it left me with a pounding headache and huge dent in my pocket. The popcorn and drink cost more than the entrance fee!!!

Went to dentist as well and got to go back tomorrow to have a filling replaced and a polish.

Weather still not good here today can some of you send some sunshine my way please!!

Anyway going to have a houseful of kids today got DS friend and my neices and nephews coming today and we are going to be baking some cakes for easter, so should be lots of fun :rotfl:

Have a good day and hugs to all those that want/need them

Yep, I've remembered to get the chicken out of the freezer this time ;)

Oh, well done Rzl, you've just reminded me I needed to get some chicken out of the freezer for tonight's cordon bleu! Thank you :)

Just cracking on with some work before the crowd (sister, niece & 2 dogs) turn up to visit.
Hope you all have a lovely day, the sun is shining here - much better than yesterday!

    Good morning all!!

Haven't been on for a couple of days as have been working very long days and really need not to "visit" MSE whilst in the office. ;)

However am now off until next Tuesday and even then only working three days!!:j Loads of plans today, need to write my meal plan shortly and then will take kids to Runnymede for a play and a picnic as the weather is beautiful. DS also wants me to play Fifa World Cup on the 360 at some point but think we'll leave that until we get back from Runnymede.

OS - one load done and about to be hung on the line, next load about to go in then this evening may do some handwashing which is mounting up and making my washing basket look full, when in fact there isn't even a decent load in there.
Also need to transplant some seedlings, plant up my sweet peas and plant some more seeds. Will also buy a greenhouse today as I want my kitchen back!!!!!

Dinner will be something that I can pop in the oven on low whilst we're out, maybe a joint of beef or beef bourgignon.

On Saturday DH and I decided out of the blue to buy a new fish tank, knock out some shelving in an alcove to make room for it and buy a new unit to hide away all our CD's and DVD's to put the tank on. We had a pretty useless weekend choosing tanks and units but yesterday all the shelving came out and DH retiled all the way long the front of our fireplace with slate. The unit come tomorrow and hopefully it should all be done by Saturday! :j :j

Moggins - fantastic news about your job. :T I hope your DD will be okay.
AMIE - great to see you back! Did you see my question about Fulham? I was just talking to someone about North End Road market the other day, mum used to go there every day for her fruit and veg. Must go back and visit one day it's only 20 mins away.

Hugs to all in need, I haven't had time to catch up on the threads for the last few days so I hope all are well and if not have a hug.

Hello, again. Forgot to say - Welcome back Amie!

Happy Birthday to Paulie's Girl and Jamie Dodger

As you can see from my sig, I've registered (at last :p:D ) for Race For Life. After several requests, I've put my sponsorship page details on here. You can find it if you look at the details in my signature.

Many thanks in advance - it's a great cause, and makes sure that I keep up my running training! Hoping to do it in under 35 mins this year! ;)

Dlb and Smokybabe, I hope your dh's are both on the feeling better.
Kyle, your knee sounds really painful. I hope you’re managing to get some rest.
Catznine, I hope the antibiotics are kicking in. No wonder you were in so much pain.
Amie, it’s great to see you back posting again.
    Vik and Emma, welcome.
Moggins, good luck with your new job.
Happy Birthday to Paulies Girl and Jamiedodger. :bdaycake:

Well, our house is a fun place to be this Easter. DD is little or no trouble despite the tornado of devastation she leaves behind her. Ds1 (13) decided to take three bottles of his dad's beer out of the garage to share with some friends so he's in trouble. I know that this is probably normal behaviour for a teenage boy but we are completely at a loss on how to deal with it, so for now we've lectured him on how disappointed we are and he's been grounded. Having a bored, disgruntled 13 year old around is great fun.

To add to the joy, the little one threw a complete wobbly last night. He came in while I was on the phone and did the sign language thing to tell me the ice-cream van was there and could he have some money. I chucked him a pound despite the fact that it was almost tea time and sent him on his way. He came back five minutes later wailing. Judging by the noise, I assumed he'd had a limb amputated with no anaesthetic, but I was wrong….he’d tripped and lost the pound. For the sake of peace I gave him another one and off he went. Five minutes later….more, louder howling…I assumed he'd lost all four limbs this time, put the phone down to look for the limbs only to discover that the ice cream van had gone before he'd had a chance to get one. He continued the howling for at least 20 minutes and I was so cross at the spoilt brat behaviour that he's been grounded too.

Ok, rant over…. oh dear not quite, I forgot something. My calls this week start early, so tea is a rushed job. Last night was gammon in the slow cooker with baby spuds, cauliflower and cheese sauce. All was going to plan until the little one and I had our row. Then I got a bit hassled. Took the lid off my almost genuine antique slow cooker (24 years old), didn't pay a lot of attention where I set it and it fell off the side of the unit, hit the floor and splintered into about 100 pieces. I no longer have a slow cooker lid. :(

And remember the porch that I was banging on about the other day? It hasn't seen a lick of paint and I don't actually give a toss.....If I can deal with three pain in the bum kids, sticking a complaining husband into the cauldron won't cost me a thought.

Anyway, apologies for the rant, thank you all for listening. Today is a new day and the sun is shining. Washing machine is on, and I'm going to make some lentil soup for tea. Dd is off out somewhere so I’m going to rope the boys into helping me with a bit of weeding in the garden.

I hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone

Happy birthdays, congrats and ((hugs)) as needed. Moggins - so glad life is looking rosy for you. I'm sure DD will be fine - my two are coping well, but we will see what happens when we eventually move into 2 houses.

Glad to see OS is its usual happy self. Suffice it to say that friendships have been re-established, shall we say :) Welcome back Amie :T

Right, in line with a lot of you, window cleaning is the order of the day. And laundry. And vacuuming and kitchen cleaning etc etc :rotfl: Viewing a house later his morning, then I need to do some shopping and visit mum in hospital. She's out tomorrow and will need a lot of care so guess what I'll be doing a lot of over the coming weeks. (I don't know if OH knows she is in hospital although I have said. When I said the something the other day and he said nowt, I said "I'll tell her you don't send her any best wishes then, shall I?" he just grunted  Ignoramous!!)

Trying to do a store cupboard challenge, given I have about 2 years worth of pulses, pasta etc in my cupboards LOL. Freezer is nearly empty so best fill it up really. Broth mix and pasta doesn't sound like a meal I want everyday :rotfl:

Although we have had an offer on the house, they haven't sold so I'm hoping we get some new viewers over Easter. Mind you, the house I really want is subject to a really nasty divorce, so that could take some time. I've offered but they still aren't in a position to accept/decline it

Ok, may take a run to Mr T's now, so best put some slap on - can't go scaring the natives :D

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all.

Happy Birthday Paulie's Girl and Jamie Dodger :bdaycake:

Glad to see you back Amie:T

Welcome to the thread Vic and Emmy

Hugs to ((((Joannas Mum, Mr Mix and Miss Moggins))))

Hugs too to Pink-Winged who's e mails to me last night showed my pelvic floor to be less than perfect.;):o We are both having [STRIKE]brat [/STRIKE] little darling problems. :D and she's working very hard this week.
My two are fighting constantly and as I said to pink last night it is a minor miracle that they made it to bedtime last night with all limbs intact and that I made it to teatime without a G&T.:o

I'm slow to start this morning and shouldn't be on here at all. OH has taken girls to work for a couple of hours but they have friends coming for the afternoon so I'm trying to clear a space in their room for them to play.

Can I please have some hugs because my head is very sore. My washing line is on our decking which is built into the cliff behind our house. As I was hanging out the washing this morning a kamakaze blackbird flew into the side of my head.:o I don't know who was more stunned, me or it. Sing a song of sixpence anyone??:rotfl:

Hope you all have a lovely day.
