Now i need advice on food, she's been having whiskas but have read its like crack for cats - so want to wean her on to something more appropriate. Any tips please x

Food ... if you can afford it a high meat/ low grain content food because cats are obligate carnivores - must eat meat - you will find the portion size is smaller so it goes further so the prices are not always as eye watering as they seem. Most of the grain free dry are quite pricey but the supermarket dry foods are absolute junk, basically meat flavoured corn flakes. :eek: If you want to use a dry you might look at Applaws, some of the Hills variants, Porta 21 Sensible variant from Zooplus. Hills and Applaws come on offer regularly so never pay full price!

Wet grain-free good value include: Toplife at Asda, Butchers Classic at all the supermarkets, Whiskas Supermeat or Bozita from Zooplus. Switch over slowly to any higher meat/ lower grain food or you might be dealing with an upset tummy. You can get cashback with Zooplus and other online pet retailers.

Her name is so original - Pus Pus. The boys won't even consider naming her anything else. They did suggest Kitty Koo - with some persuasion they diverted back to Pus.

I would echo what the others have said about food - try getting her on a high protein food with a lower cereal content. When we took in our two from CPL they were on whiskas/felix. We are in the process of mixing Bozita in with the supermarket stuff in increasing proportions to try and get them completely onto Bozita.

We feed Applaws dry & (soon!) Bozita wet. You can get it from Zooplus, and remember to go via topcashback as you'll get 5% back.
