  • momma cat will look after the kittens when they are born, she will instinctively know what to do. she will wash and poop them, the only thing you might have to do is just check their weight daily to make sure they are feeding well.

for some reason i can't see your pics, but if she's as pretty as you describe then you'll have no problem finding homes for the kittens, just make sure you vet the people.
Cats don't have owners - they have staff!! :D:p

You don't happen to live in the London area, do you? [rugby tackles GettingReady before she can assemble the catnapping kit]

I'm really stressing about kittens - but im so scared that if she is pregnant and the kittens will be ready to rehome later on in the year then people may want them just for Christmas.

Had exactly the same fears about Lucy and her babies as the timing was very similar.....

    That's a relief!

In your other photo, she looks very happy with your son fussing over her - mutual love there, already, by the looks of it!

Buildwise and facially she's the image of one of ours, but ours has more ginger and black, and less grey. We suspect something like Burmese/Tonkinese somewhere in her ancestry (and berserker if her temperament is anything to go by).

  • It is worth contacting cats protection, if you explain what has happened they may be able to help with the spaying after kittens are born and also in rehoming the kittens.
re the birthing, a box with towels is fine just leae her to it, cats thankfully seem a lot more capable than some other species.
unfortunately i know an idiot who "lost" her cat, when i found him at her old house she didnt want to know...then bought a new kitten:mad:
its fab u have decided to keep her , i have 3 madcats and find our girl the more sensible , the boys are both as daft as brushes:eek::rotfl:

really dont stress but try to keep her in when you can so she gets used to being inside, re catrees i got a huge one off ebay for about 40 quid, it still hasnt totally stopped the sratching and my sofa has a delightfull hole now:(

Ive ordered a cat tree from argos, she has some scratching posts. I was considering covering my banisters in twine to save them.

To be honest, im praying, hoping and keeping everything crossed that she is early enough for an emergency spay. I know it wouldnt be everybodies decision - but I hadn't planned on 1 cat never mind 1 and a litter of kittens. But worst case scenario - i will deal with what ever comes. Im no longer thinking of her as somebody elses cat, she is ours.

And to the poster who mentioned her and son - they really do adore each other. Its crazy x
