Tackling my Debt and Simplifying My Life

Thanks crystal and fae, as always your brilliant supports - hope I can repay the favour at some point.
Feel more in control again now after my wobbly moment - unfortunately had to spend on grocery essentials £6. And also has to spend in b&q, thick celling paint that I hope will cover up some cracks in ceiling and plain, cheap magnolia for a few damaged walls in the house. I am hoping a few finishing touches to the house will help a sale - fingers crossed. No calls from estate agent since November, hopefully buyers will start looking soon.
DH has had a enquiry about his car - went on auto-trader on Monday. Someone coming to view at weekend - I'm running out of fingers to cross now!
Off for an early night to read book now.
Nite all,

Good idea to go with the spa day. That just sounds lovely and everyone needs the occasional treat

Well and truly snowed in today! Its lovely. The main downside is that we had a buyer for the car who was coming to view today - hoping they'll be able to get here at some point over the weekend.
The estate agent rang yest to say the house over the road has sold - it was kind of her to warn us - hopefully ours will sell next - my patience is running out!
No chance to spend today! Which is good news.
We are going to use the weekend to do those odd jobs on the house in case we get a viewing!
Well guys, think its almost wine o'clock - now I'm limited to a bottle of week I look forward to it even more!

Enjoy the wine GL

Morning,
Goodlife I too only have a bottle a week on a Friday usually lol are you sure we are not related
Hope the car buyer gets there soon, and that the house sells. We had ours up from April to November last year. It's so frustrating. We had offers but massively below the asking price. Fingers crossed it sells soon for you.
Have friends round for a Curry tonight so going to get on and make that ( in the past would have just ordered a takeaway)
Keep safe and warm xLBM 13th Jan 2013 beginning DMP March 20130 -
Hi GL - Just popping by to say hello! ive read a few of your more recent posts and you are not alone, when I bought my house I thought I could still live the life I was living while at my parents and for the first couple of years was having nights out / day trips / holidays etc like you, I didn't want to say 'No, I can't afford it' but now I've said it once I feel more than comfortable saying it again. 2013 will be our year, so yeah it may be a bit crap and boring but if one crappish year makes for a better future then i think i can handle that! and I hope you enjoy your spa day, I do think its important to spend abit of time / money doing something you want and enjoy as if not you just end up feeling so down! xxSnowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400

Glad you are going on the spa day GL- a bit of a treat now and then does us all good, a good investment I think!
Did the person come and view the car? Plenty of snow here, good cheap fun! We are supposed to be only having wine at weekends too, although invariably end up slipping up mid-week after a bad day or something!0 -
Hi I thought I'd share my experience of being in my team as I don't fit in with anything that they do and it doesn't matter to them or me as we still have loads of other things in common. I don't watch much tv but they all watch the soaps, reality tv and are into the celebrity culture, that's just not me and I haven't got a clue who or what they're talking about but it's fun listening to them gossip about it!
I'm really sporty and am always out running, canoeing etc. they think I'm mad when I tell them about some of the events I've entered.
I haven't been to any of the group events I.e. going to see Take That in concert, going to a palm reader and some other days out as I simply am not interested and wouldn't waste my money doing something I would hate just to be with them.
I guess what I'm trying to say is it's ok to be yourself and if they're any sort of friend it won't make the slightest difference xNext debt to bust c/c £1253.53 24/4/13 - Now £1211.910 -
Good morning all,
Still only a light covering of snow.
Need to buy a heater this morning. Really do need to as ds2 is freezing in his room since he came home. It's freezing because its above the garage and I totally feel sorry for him. I hate being cold.
Otherwise more ebaying today.
Dh and I are looking at adding a new service to his business so some research on that this afternoon.
The Thai curry went down really well on the downside no left overs.
Have a good day CrystalLBM 13th Jan 2013 beginning DMP March 20130 -
