  • Thanks guys.

DH popped into estate agents but our agent not there - hope we can speak to her tomorrow.

If we reduce the price of the house again we may not have enough left over after paying deposit and moving fees to pay anything off debts - but monthly mortgage repayment will reduce so we can pay more off each month. Plus we will be living in the area we need to be for DS's school.

Having another lazy evening - cant face going anywhere in the evening this time of year!

Money is going to be tight for rest of month so off to get some ideas from old style boards for mega cheap meals.

  • Good luck with the Estate Agents tomorrow. Once we get into Spring people always start to think about moving house and getting itchy feet. I'm sure you'll sell in no time!

  • Thanks guys as ever for your positive comments and support.

Been to the estate agents and the house is now reduced by £5k- hope this brings some interest. Been busy all weekend doing other odd jobs on the house in preparation for all those extra viewings we'll hopefully be having!

Had a letter from Barclaycard (the cc we paid in full with low APR Coop loan), offering 0% for balance transfers for 6months with a 2.9% transfer fee. I am thinking this may be a good option as we don't want to apply for any more credit before moving and sorting a mortgage as I don't want to muck up our credit rating by applying for more. The virgin and nationwide cc's are now on 19% APR so it seems like a good move - any opinions gratefully received!

Also, resubmitted the EGG PPI claim form (sent it too wrong address last year) - its been difficult to find out info on EGG now they're no longer dealing with loans.

Fingers crossed for some good MSE news all round!

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hi there GL

    Glad you're making progress...

19% is daylight robbery...suggest a BT at 0% makes real sense even if it's for only part of the debt. Also agree re your overall credit rating before trying to move. Always stuff in news how they are tightening up.

Have a good eve hon. OH is listing on EBay while I cruise the forum..not sure he is best pleased! ;-)
