Thanks Goodlife, Yes your advice is very good and I will try a spending diary and planning meals weekly when shopping. I am also trying to be very careful thinking about each day and what I spend.
I will keep you informed of progress
  • Hi malta, would love to hear how you're getting on.

This week has flown again! Need to spend the weekend putting some stuff on ebay. I hope to have some time to myself - the past few weekends have been bonkers busy and I just need some time just to be at home.

So the plan is some ebaying, cleaning, reading and just chilling out.

No more viewings yet - fingers crossed things will pick up soon.

Off to catch up on the forums.

    GLx
  • Cant believe almost a week has passed since I last posted- must do better!

We've got a viewing tonight!! Have taken a couple of hours off work to clean, now the house is spic and span- just going to take the doggies for a little walk then will make myself scarce before the estate agent arrives for 5pm viewing, hope to catch him after the viewers have left- hate having to wait for feedback!

    Will update later.

    Hi
How did the house viewing go? Did you get any offers? I hope so.
I haven't done much money wise this week but am still watching what I spend. Had £100 bill for brake discs on car but should be getting a slight pay rise in my next pay which is good news! Got £25 from a marketing session and money back from a cancelled night out so some pluses!
    Good luck
    ;)

  • Thanks guys, estate agent said the viewers only had positive things to say, liked layout, decoration etc and said they`d like to bring their daughter back for her opinion but that was over a week ago and nothing - trying not to be too despondant.

Have been quiet for the past week cause I've had shingles - been feeling sorry for myself!

On a positive note, I have finally learned to crochet! My lovely, patient mother has taught me to make a granny square - I'm addicted! I have really found it relaxing and I hope to keep learning.

Hope everyone is OK on the forums.

Shingles is horrid, I had it on my head a few years ago, Went to the doc on another matter and casually mentioned this rash I had starting just above my eye and extending into my hair, Suddenly it was far more important than the renewed prescription I had gone for ! He told me I was lucky to have come in cos if the rash had carried on downwards into my eye, it could have caused all kinds of nastiness. Thank Goodness for on the ball Docs ! Take it easy, Shingles has a habit of leaving you feeling exhausted. Hope you feel better soon.
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
