    How are you feeling GL? Much better I hope :santa2:
  • Hope you are ok GL, and that you all have a wonderful Christmas! x
  • Thanks so much for your messages Ladybird. I have been laid-up for several weeks with an awful virus, still not right and completely exhausted. Hope to feel better for Chfistmas.
    I have barely ventured out of bed so haven't posted or read any diaries, hope to do so in next few days. On the plus side, it's been very MSE as I've been too ill to do Christmas- as a result, Christmas will be simpler than even I had planned. Will fill you in during next post.

    Wil catch up on diaries, hope everyone is having a great weekend xx

  • Sounds dreadful, so sorry to hear that you have had such a rough time :(
  • Happy new year everyone.

    So sorry for not keeping up with my diary, still recovering from virus and feeling exhausted.

    I have been thinking for days how to take advantage of the new year - fresh start tradition. I have the usual resolutions, which I try not to make too difficult to achieve.

    * continue to simplify my life
    * pay off as much debt as possible
    * sell house
    * sell DHs car (once its been fixed the silly bug... bashed it before Christmas
    * enjoy spare time doing things I like, reading, TV, spending time with family
    * learn to crochet
    * avoid shops and shopping
    * be happy (me, DH & DS)

    I have been wracking my brains how to make a plan re debt payments. I need specific goals. CHQ plans to pay off 2 debts in 2013- this is a great idea and I hope it will keep me focused as and stop me drifting with debt payments, need to contact cc companies to establish balances.

    off to bed now - be back tomorrow.
    GLx

    Hi goodlife, well done on paying 2386 between August and October :)

    It's probably time to update your totals.... what are the interest rates, can you move any money to the lower interest rate cards?

    When does the Santander loan finish?
  • Hope you don't mind me popping by. I normally just observe peoples diaries but yours really struck a chord especially the bit about simplifying your life.

    I too am trying to keep life as simple as possible and concentrate on things that really matter. I'm not sure what books you may have read on the subject but I can recommend the Miss Minimalist, Francine Jay books.

    I wish you all the best on your debt busting mission. You can do it!!!

    I'm going to learn to crochet too! Infact after I've updated my diary (and maybe put some washing in hmm) that's what I'm off to do now! How are you feeling? Hope the answer is better :D take it easy :) x
