Thanks Fae, wardrobe looking much tidier and quite bare, but what's left in there is worn regularly! I have even taken a piccie to show the end result but not sure how to add it to my post- any suggestions??
Need to update my signature- hope the debt has reduced, even if only a small amount.
Now off to clean the house- viewing tomorrow!

Hi all,
I'm another who tries to wear things quite a few times. It try and keep my washing to weekends if I can. Also dry on the maiden whenever possible. It's bedding that I worry about. My mum is a stickler for everything on the bed being washed once a week. I usually end up putting the tumble dryer on to get it dry but can't think of anything else during the winter months.
I've had a massive wardrobe clear out. Since I lost 2 stone none of my original clothes fit, and because we go off on holiday soon I've been buying summer rather than winter clothes, which means I've currently got a wardrobe full of summer stuff that fits and nothing much for winter. Going to try and hang on until I come back in January to buy anything else. But I know what you mean Goodlife, I hate feeling like my wardrobes a mess:eek:
Good luck with the viewing GL let us know how you get on.

Hi Gl,
The only way i could upload the photo was to take the photo on my phone and email it to myself, I then copied the photo from the email and pasted it onto a thread, it seems to have worked.

Have subsrcibed to your thread very inspirational
Think you are doing a marvellous job.
We are in a similar position to you (£32k debt) and decided we had to take control 2 years ago we entered into an IVA because that was the best solution for us. We have 3 sons and couldn't downsize. I try to be as frugal as possible and also keep spending on a daily basis to as little as possible. Looking forward to more of your posts

I've also been telling people I am busy when I am not! I'm trying to simplify my life and its certainly helping my stress levels.
Cutting down the amount of washing I do particulary this time of year is something I do. I like the idea of just doing the washing at the weekend. Think I will give that a try myself. Thank you.
Hope the house viewing goes well.0 -
Morning all
Managed a thirty minute run last night and the scale show another 1.5 lbs off so feeling very positive today.
Need to go into town for some shoes to match my dress, but hoping I can get something that will go with lots of other things iykwim.
Made a big pan of tater ash last night which fed the fellas when they came in from football and have frozen the other half for another meal.
Only twelve days to my hols so the cases are open and I have started putting bits and pieces in.
Really looking forward to our hols but strangely looking forward to returning and tackling the debt properly. Plan to create a new signature with a true picture of the debt. Think it will be around the £40,000 mark omg that's scary.

Hi GL, loving the post! i can so relate with wanting to tackle debt and simplfy your life.. at the end of the day we die with nothing so we really dont need all these things to make us happy!
ive put my debt in my signature, its a combination of me and my other halfs, we are hoping to have paid all off within a year so its nice feeling that we finally have a plan. marriage and kids are on the cards for when we have managed it and thats SO exciting!!
ive been putting things on ebay as well trying to get extra cash where ever i can!
ive also joined freecycle as you never know what someone might post on there and its equally nice to see if someone needs something and you have it and there is no monitary gain for once!
i also joined the library last night! check me out! i commute into london from kent, i used to buy box sets on itunes but i had to cut that back but even buying books can get expensive and theres not really a resale value so i thought what the heck lets join the library for free! its quite empowering!
keep posting!x
