Tackling my Debt and Simplifying My Life

I think that's a sensible plan fae, that way you won't upset or hurt anyone's feelings- gonna try it. I am just pleased we will hopefully have the Christmas we want rather than trying to please everyone else. Cosy nights in front of tv with Christmas tree lights twinkling is a far more attractive prospect than costly nights out with no taxi to get us home!!!
Sorry again for all the Christmas talk, it's just I am so looking forward to a more simplified Christmas this year!!

Now that is a good idea Fae...I might try that one too.
We played games (Uno Stacko..a games lying at the back of the toy cupboard..can't remember where it came from and that says something ;-( and monopoly yesterday in front of the blazing fire)..great on a wintry night. Its the small things after all..:-)MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Very good idea Fae! I love games in front of the fire, can't wait until our kids are old enough to partake!0

What a lovely evening brizzle, we try to do that here too- I am hoping DS will remember that more than any pressies he may have when he's older.
I slipped in the rain this afternoon and hurt ankle, I got up and walked ok initially but as the evening progresses its getting more painful to weight-bear - and boy does it have some weight to bear!!
No other news here- all quiet for a change.

Ankle better this morning thank god!
I am waiting for my drs appt this morning so have a couple of sneaky hours before I go into work- my plan is to spend a hour de-de-cluttering my wardrobe. Its gotten rather messy again, so that means I still have too much stuff!
I love a clean, clear wardrobe and have been getting increasingly stressed each time I open mine- still some clothes I hardly wear- they will be listed on eBay tonight then.
I have also decided I wash my clothes too much, I wash most things after I've worn them once. This is a pain- firstly, because my electricity bill is mega high; secondly by the time I wash, tumble dry and iron the clothes they aren't available for two or three days; and, most importantly I think the clothes wear-out much faster (half the jumper is left in fluff in the tumble-dryer!).
So, my aim is to wash my clothes less (and DH &DS's). Obviously smalls, the boys shirts etc will be washed each time but I am going to try to wear my work trousers and jumpers several times. One of the minimalism websites I read talks about spot-cleaning rather than washing the whole item- I will try this and let you know how I get on.
I know I may sound a bit sad thinking of this, but I hope this will save me time, washing, ironing and shopping for clothes. Also it will mean I wont need so many clothes.
Off to the wardrobe..........

Hi Gl,
When I first met my OH, he was amazed at how much washing I did, he couldn't understand why I would only wear something once and then wash it, as you say clothes wear out quicker that way. So I wash things much less often now, much kinder on the clothes and the pocket, and can think of so many better things to do with the time, so def go for it you won't regret it
