Hi GL,
You don't sound mad havinga meltdown over the boots, its so frustrating when you get things sorted, start making progress and something like that starts to let you down, well done you on getting a refund, boots should last longer than a month !!! Hope the new ones work out better for you.

Thanks Fae, you've made me feel less mad!!
Hope everyone having a good weekend- I am having a lovely, relaxing one. Still doing jobs but its so nice to be at home. I've just come back from walking the dogs, its a beautiful clear morning here. Frosty and cold but gorgeous, I am not defrosting with a cuppa and biscuits and looking forward to catching up on everyones diaries, going to start brizzledfw's diary, she has posted and left lovely comments here so I am gonna start reading her 29pages!
Hope to find a few bits to list on eBay later- there must be more we can sell.
Will be back later.

I can really relate to the boot meltdown, it is horrible when you get setbacks like that, having worked so hard. I too am a one set of boots person and would be stuck without mine!
I think you just have to remember that if you hadn't worked hard then you'd still have the extra debt you worked to pay off AND you'd have the cost of the boots. Anyway, well done for getting a refund!
Weather looks good here too, going to head out with dogs and children for a walk this afternoonEnjoy the rest of your weekend GL!

Hi All. I'm a luker but I've formally subscribed to this thread. I don't mind the ramblings because I find they always shed a bit of light. I am ebaying half of my stuff and my secret hope is to become quite minimalistic. Of course I still have to pay my credit cards.................................................................................

Glad to have you along MoonJelly, good luck with your decluttering and eBay sales.
I didn't manage to list anything on eBay yest after, my mum was taken ill so nursing duties took priority- thought I would list some things tomorrow for five days.
I am keenly waiting for the book brizzle recommended- cant wait to start reading about enoughness, its the philosophy I am trying to follow.
No interest on the house- I know I need to forget about it until after Christmas but each time my mobile rings (rarely) I have a hope it might be the Estate Agent- haven't had a viewing for almost a month.
I just feel in a bit of limbo, for example I have a couple of larger pieces of furniture I hope might make me some money on eBay but don't feel I can list them til we sell as it'll make the house look rather bare.
Also I am keen to apply for a 0%cc but didn't want to do that until after we'd moved in case we got rejected and this affected our credit score which might affect the new mortgage.
Thanks to everyone for reading, I enjoy catching up on your diaries.

Hi GL,
I can understand your feeling in limbo, we had the same feeling too while we were waiting to sell ours. In the end we took it off the market over Christmas last year just to have a break, the idea was to put it back on in the spring, but in the end we put it back on in Jan, on a Thursday and it sold the following Monday !!! and we got the price we wanted, so I'm sure yours will sell too, keeping everything crossed for you.

Hi! hope your mum's feeling better. Try not to worry about selling the house, the right buyer will be along just when you least expect it!
Having moved house 4 times in the last few years, I'm starting to feel a bit more settled now but I still get the odd attack of itchy feet now and then and downsizing would also solve all my money problemsNext £0.00 Aqua £470.00
