I'm going to complain on the grounds that their appeals process is against the Equalities Act, there is no consideration for an appeal from disabled people using a car park. There is no consideration or reasonable adjustments by them.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I just can't believe how amateurish all this is. It just reeks of the BPA. I hope to heaven that the minister is as appalled by what they've done as we are.Je suis Charlie.0

I noticed that.using disabled badge spot with no blue badge......For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Taffy the the equalities act issue would be with the landowner as opposed to a point of appeal (In my opinion) as the POPLA service in itself is not providing a service which needs to be making adjustments in this manner.
Also We are operators still dont have a clue how POPLA works so 90% of you on here are ahead of us. In theory a person could have a ticket today, Drafted and posted an appeal. It could be in office tommorow and in theory replied to on Wednesday. ... BUT we cannot reply as we dont have the information we are required to send to you about POPLA.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. ppc_guy what I mean is that there is no appeal point about disabilities , which means popla are not considering grounds under the equalities act, for example if someone is parked in a disabled bay for 5 minutes over the two hour limit, where is the reasonable adjustment if ticketed ? Where is the appeal point of not reasonable adjustment ? So yes parking companies must abide by the equalities act but so must popla IMOExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. The way the website has been thrown together, features stock photos from foreign countries, has font issues and featured the use of the word 'penalty' is laughable. The web domain even belongs to the BPA.0 -

No PPC_guy, it's the duty of ALL customer-facing companies, including their agents and employees, even unpaid volunteers, everyone has their duty to consider the EA and to make reasonable adjustments in the way they deal with people who meet the definition of disability.
Honestly I cannot understand why companies find this difficult to understand. It's pretty basic stuff for any customer-facing company or service.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon yes i know everybody has to adhere to EA ...BUT i mean they have to make reasonable adjustments to allow access to their service, IE by accepting submission in a different format.
They would not in my view have to make allowances for another company to provide provisions under the EA if that makes sense.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Why on earth not?
For a so-called independent appeals service to uphold a fake PCN against a disabled person parked in a disabled bay, beggars belief!
And I seem to recall that the DFT information and the statement from Norman Baker said that the appeals service would include looking to see that there was compliance with consumer legislation (didn't it?!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's all pretty moot since nobody can appeal on any reason, let alone if you've got one leg and your blue badge slipped.0
