Also I have been contacted repeatedly by amigo loans ever since even though I keep telling them to go away (not as nicely) and that because they are connected with finance facilty I wont be using their services neither.
But today I recieved another letter from them stating that if I went through them directly they would give me the loan cheaper, as they would remove the finace facility fee, which is on top of every payment of your loan which worked out at £20 per month.
so they have you all ways.
this firm should be shut down, period.0 -
I applied with these back on February as I needed a loan to fund a couple of weeks away as my toddler was having major surgery. Instead of getting a loan I got money robbed from my bank. I rang them up. They told me to wait 6 months and if I havnt took a loan out that was brokered by them I could get a refund. Iv emailed them 16 times only once have they replied telling me not to email them. IV rang them for them to tell me I have to send a letter. Which I have sent in four letters they only received one. Personally if it's not signed for them I think they just get thrown in the bin to ignore us. Now iv just read that even if you take a loan out with anyone you won't get your refund. I am very disappointed and angry. £80 to me is a lot of money. I work part time and have four boys. These have basically robbed from them. And the way I see it no one will ever get their money back. The fact that they charge a fre should be made clear on their website not just in small print for no one to see0

There is no need to be so harsh to the people that looked at the finance brokers website to try and lend some money quickly. I think the majority of these people turned to them when already experiencing financial difficulty without knowing where else to go/what else to do.
I've been scammed - I use the word scammed because it is NOT clear that a fee is going to be taken. My partner has been scammed also. Unfortunately this was many moons ago and I'm not even sure who the broker was, so there is no chance of reclaiming any refund from them.
Personally, I think it's very misleading and it prays on desperate and vulnerable people. Reclaim your refund if you can, learn your lesson and perhaps join Money Saving Expert for help, advice and support to tackle your financial situation.I AM DEBT FREE!0 -

You have written your letter (I assume requesting a refund) but they haven't refunded you.
Follow the advice and raise a complaint with the FOS, include your dated letter within your complaint and let them do their job and chase the company for you.
I already put the link above but as it seems difficult, here it is again.

Go get your refund (they can retain £5 as you spent too long dithering on the phone and emailing).0 -
I was ripped off by this company too, in dec 2013, so I contacted the financial ombudsman. They looked into it and eventually viewed the case in my favour. They told the company they had to refund me the £79.95 plus £100 and 8% simple interest per year, compensation. The company failed to respond to them at all. The financial ombudsman took it as far as they could but the company still didn't respond so I was advised to make a claim in court. Thus cost my £25 but the ombudsman was pretty sure I would win the case and any fees would be refunded. However the company didn't respond to the claim so I had to enter judgment through the courts..... Still no response! Now I've just paid £70 to issue a warrant to try and get my money. Now I think many people would stop there and give up rather than pay the £70 but I honestly think that's what this company are hoping for, so it made me more determined to carry it through. i will wait to see what happens. The good news is that this company has now been reported by the ombudsman to the financial conduct authority so hopefully they will put a stop to this.0

Their website says they are closed for new business? Wonder what's going on.
Meanwhile if you have problems with brokers do email Watchdog, they more complaints they get about a company the more likely they are to do a story on it.0 -
DO NOT GO TO FINANCE FACILITY!!!! ''We normally point people toward the T&C's to see how to get a refund. You have already read them so you already know what to do.
Nowhere will it tell you to randomly keep calling them on the phone, refunds are requested in writing only (on printed letters in the post, not emails).'' This is a lie, as my husband never found terms and conditions on their page and it turns that it was right at the bottom page in tiny writing. He was robbed of nearly £80, when we were struggling. He was told he gets his money back after 6 months if he doesn't accept money from any of their agencies. He didn't take out any loans, after 6 months he applied again for refund, then they took a long time to reply, then they sent a form for him to fill in and sent it to them. They said he will get refund in 21 working days, now it has gone at least 25 working days and no refund. They no longer answer their telephone and keep saying to leave a message and will get back to you....yeah right, they will get back to you. They are not capable to answer emails and letters that are sent signed for and they reply to your calls)))))))))))) what a joke finance facility is! I cannot believe that the law allows them to do such things and get away with it. You greedy lying thieves and lazy people who just sit on their bottoms and steal money from people's accounts in a very sly way. What excuse do you have now, Finance Facility after you was caught lying and not keeping to your terms and conditions of issuing refunds in time to people?
