I have just had this company charge £79.95 to my account. They say that they did me a service and played a recoding of me confirming my name. I have never spoken to anyone of their consultants, they are rude and they don't let you talk. I shall be taking this further, I have ordered and inbound call statement from my phone company and I shall be writing an email (as suggested by the FSA, as then you have electronic receipt/copy) they have 8 weeks to reply and if they don't or your not happy go to the ombudsman who will do an individual investigation on your behalf. I know that I read about the charge and took the on-line application no further and this was 4th September they say I spoke to them at 17.18pm that day (which is a tough time of day to take a call for me) and I confirmed all my details. I will dispute this, I realise it'll take a while but I can't afford to loose £80!
Let us know if you do get a response by email, good luck with it.0 -

the FSA no longer exist, they have been replaced by the FCA and "still" do not deal with individual complaints. Even if they did, here are their instructions:
http://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/complaints-and-compensation/how-to-complainStep 1: Contact the firm directly
If you have a complaint, it is best to first ask the firm involved to put things right.
Contact the firm involved as soon as possible. It is usually best to write to them so you have a record of what you say.
Step 2: Make the complaint yourself
Step 3: Contact the Financial Ombudsman Service
Best to write a letter to them, I'm sure the Important exclamation mark in an email will send shivers to them but alas, has probably been deleted already.
Someone who can't be mithered posting a letter is hardly the sort to chase this to a refund winning conclusion.0 -

Did you write to them requesting a refund ?
Give them 8 weeks and contact the ombudsman and file a complaint.0 -

It isn't theft either, if you walk into a shop and buy something, have they also stolen money from you?0 -
The reason for cancelling the card is because your details will have been sent to multiple companies ( some that also charge) , so cancelling the card will prevent further unauthorised charges.
If the payment has not been processed you have the right to cancel it (confirmed by my bank).
Also, if I walk into a shop and they take my money before I have bought something then yes that is theft.
This is what is happening in most all cases.
They say they will collect the money within 60 days yet apply for payment almost immediately, without providing any details of the so called membership.0 -
About time every victim conned contacted watchdog. About time they were closed down. Abusing vulnerable people is outrageous0

If a CPA is in play then it might not be as easy as canceling the card and thinking thats it they wont get the money, the CPA needs to be cancelled by yourself by asking the bank to do it.0 -
yep silly me got duped, i lost the money same thing same way.
There's no point going over everything what i did and how i can claim my money back etc.
What i want to know is how a company can carry on trading when misleading people like this, this is the art of deception taken to its highest form, they are relying on habitual behavior of people not reading the T&C's to create a way of taking money from them, and that in itself should be illegal.
I can't believe they're still being allowed to trade.
