  • Yeah sorry you're right. made a mistake with words. what i meant was that the fos said they have to give the money back, but they didn't answer to any of their letters. and the fos said they can't do nothing else as they can't force them to pay so they passed it to a regulator.

And if they have no obligation to pay, how will taking them to court help?

No obligation to pay = no obligation to pay.
Obligation to pay + non-payment = take to court.

They have an obligation to pay as per their own t and c. They are not obliged to pay because the ombudsman says so. The ombudsman should remove their license for not paying but that is another story. The poster should take them to a small claim court. The judge would come down on them like a ton of bricks. They should also report them to trading standards
  • Yeah that's what they did. Fos passed it to a regulator. After all of this I've sent them a letter last week asking for the money back. let's see

Hi can anyone tell me if they have had success in getting their money back with these frauds? This has happened to me today and im fuming. Eveything they told me was lies, and i want my money back. Thanks

    i was once a victim,but i got saved by a loan firm
  • I take it you are referring to me. And if you are, I haven't deleted any of my posts. It would appear it is YOUR offensive post that has been deleted, probably by the moderators on this forum who object to that sort of thing.

  • Just realised. Maybe you are referring to the gentleman from Bangladesh who posted for the first time last night, as his post seems to have disappeared. If so, that is no way to talk about a first time poster who evidently has problems with English as well as finding a loan.

I've also been ripped off by the Financial Authority, thieving animals. I was taken for 75.95. I had no knowledge that this money was going to be taken from my account! I know now to read the T&C's in detail, but surly there must be something that can be done. I just feel angry more than anything. Would the Financial Ombudsman get involved?? There seems to be a lot of people being duped by this cartoon company!!
  • I feel completely stupid for believing this company that they could help me in gaining a loan ..I also thought that they was the company giving me the loan ..I was also told that 50 pence would be taken from my account to make sure that I was who I said I was ..After speaking to my bank they advised me to ring them and ask that my information is not passed to any more companies I have done this but it remains to be seen if this happens I have in the meantime taken down all the relevant information so I can ask in writing with a stamped addressed envelope for my £79 back at the end of the 6 months doesn't help me now ..I find this company shocking and I'm saddened to learn that a lot of other people have been taken in by this company..I have spent most of the morning crying ..so please read the T&Cs and never be as gullible as me and just hand over your debit card details ..If it sounds to good to be true then it most likely is ..
  • so I sent the letter to get the initial fee back. followed the instructions. wait around 10 days, phoned them up. yes they received the letter. waited till the last day, and the consultant said yes we sent you a letter with the response. you should get it tomorrow. that was last Wednesday. today is Monday. no letter, phoned them again and they said well you've got to wait the letter. am I being taken for a ride all over again? I guess with companies like that you can't win.

You can keep waiting but you will never get your refund, they are simply stalling you.

You've done as requested, now fill out the form on the FOS website and get them involved.
