It does feel liberating just going off for a run doesn't it. I suddenly decided to go for a run earlier but had i needed to drive to gym etc I don't think I would have bothered.

Fab distances Helen and that's on top of a demanding full time job and busy family life!

  • Thanks cathT, glad you enjoyed.

I really hope my momentum takes me to HM and full marathon, which has always sat on my bucket list. Not concerned how long it takes.

Dd 1 skiing Feb half term, we are now seriously enjoying the lessons. Toying with us (all but dd1) booking a few days skiing in Scotland whilst she's away. Feel really excited by the prospect. Level 4 now completed and level 5 booked for next week as although could "open ski" we decided to do another set on groupon. Have lots of new bruises as fell a few times....

  • Booked ski trip to Scotland.... 4nights with 3 days of skiing. So excited.

Woke up at usual time, despite being off, must have forgot to tell my body clock, unfortunately my usual time is 5 and with the clocks, it translated to being awake from 4. Was supposed to be " rest day" but ended up doing an v early run as felt like a coiled spring.

Going to abs and body pump in a few minutes, it's just over a mile and I'm starting to begrudge taking car so will jog down, Dave said he'll come too, looked less excited when I said was running there but has agreed anyway... he has just started tread mill running and was hoping he might come with me occasionally but up till now he's not been bothered. We used to run together a few years ago.

Went ten pin bowling, was going for a walk but with dd2 using crutches, wasn't happening. Did a bit of Christmas shopping too and then sorted and wrapped a few bits so could put done on top of wardrobe. Dd2 birthday presents wrapped too, she's 14 in November.

  • Lovely week so far. Got free tickets to the zoo yesterday, so saved just over £60 and had a lovely day out. Was a little nervous would be too young for our teens but they all said was great.

Won a bike on eBay last night so need to fetch later. Had set myself a budget and this was well within, quite a unhelpful description so I emailed for the size, condition etc and I think this would have put most off, just hoping it's ok. Have several ski stuff bids on going. Have again set myself a family budget and prepared to take time.

Pretty miserable outside, everyone sleeping so I'm going for a run in my New long sleeved top, sadly this excites me...

That's a bargain zoo trip. It can be such an expensive day out. I often miss our membership but we are having a year off and are looking forward to rejoining after they have built the new part of it. We are lucky enough to only be 20 minutes away from the biggest British zoo.

    Was the bike ok?

  • It's ok, not fabulous but in good condition and solid enough, I think it was a ok / good buy. Dave says it's an old lady bike...

Had friends for tea last night, made fake away Chinese, so stir fry, curry, egg fried rice and chips. With meringue and fruit for pudding.

Did long day today and a few post annual leave nightmares to pick up.
Had no trick or treaters despite having sweeties ready.
Off tomoz, ski lesson planned and hoping for a nice morning run.

CathT, do you live in east mids?

That's more energetic than what I plan after a long day. Ski lessons sound like they are going really well. When do you go to Scotland?

  • Not till February. Already started searching for ski wear on bay of e. Sunday's lesson was brilliant, last bit we did the big slope... was very scared... the instructor recommends doing some open practice before doing another lesson, so probably try half price Friday evening.

Usual nightmare post leave yesterday, but off today as been shopping with ex js, to a boots factory staff shop, which let nhs staff use. Max £30 spend so now have some more Christmas stocking fillers.

Took leftover sweeties to work and despite being loads, were consumed very quickly.
