Am sure there's a colonel of truth to that Helen :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Not having the best week. FIL rushed into hospital last night and had emergency surgery for a SAH (bleed in brain) last night, he seems well considering (popped on during day). so DH got home early hours on morning and has been there all afternoon / evening.

Pants at work, need to work long day tomoz (despite FIL and working +++ all week) as 2 staff rang in sick leaving critical numbers. So tired....

  • Wishing you all the best.....hope gets better soon.
  • FIL looks ok considering, Dave been tday (whilst I was at work) and looked brighter. had a bit of a melting point moment last night and I think decisions need to be made as I don't feel able to continue sacrificing my home life and my sanity. need to spk to boss Monday. Had hard day at work when a further 1 rang in sick and a few issues that occurred has me more sure that we are just a number and that my own life is more important, as no matter what I sacrifice is irrelevant.
Not sure everything I have is enough so need to take a step back and review. At an exceptional low point, have worked 6 days this week, all 5,30am get ups and now on my 4th large glass of wine, something clearly has to give. My issue is my job share as my decisions directly affect her.

((Hugs)) HDK. You always seem to have a lot going on and a lot on your plate.
I understand what you mean about your job share, but I hope you think of yourself too, I know what you're like.

In your profession it must be quite easy to keep helping but job share or not you will be no good to anyone if you keep pushing on in the same way. I hope you manage to work something out that benefits you and your family as that is what is most important, mortgage free dreams etc are a nice idea but not if you sacrifice everything else in the process. I speak from experience as I am a workaholic who would always go in on days off through the week but I was resenting everything, now people are getting used to having to ask other people to do things and deal with the fact that things might not get done in the same way.

    Loads of hugs xx
